Who is Karen Sanders

The first years after graduating the Art Academie, I had one big question on my mind... What is the meaning of Art?
Meaning of art, meaning of life, for me both were one and the same in those years... I looked around at how and what other artists were doing. And the only true conclusions I could come up with, were:

1. When I'm in an artists supplie shop, it feels like Christmass, Easter, Sinterklaas and my Birthday in one! Buying one crayon could give me a feeling of being authentically rich for weeks!
2. Appearently I can't stop with this creating process. Each time I felt like giving up, I'd walk and stumble around my room like a raging bull, only finding peace and quiet , passion and love when I started creating.

I am almost ten years ahead, and I still can't give you a nice rounded definition of Art, still can't tell you what the meaning, the reason, the function of Art is. Best I can say is that for me it's the best expression of being Human, next to Love, maybe it's a derivative of Love, I don't know, what do you think?
