WHO IS KAROL?
Getting to know Karol
"To know her is to love her" is what the teachers wrote about me in my high school yearbook! I never knew why!As everyone knows, as you grow older we get a little wiser & see things that we fail to see when we were younger. I guess what they saw was a down-to-earth, fun-loving individual who treated people the way she wanted to be treated, with respect! There was and still is nothing phony about her!! (Well, except the color of my hair!)
From as far back as I can remember, I have always stood up for the "Underdog" and seemed to always be going against the majority! I lost good friendships along the way, because I was just tired of friends always putting down someone or something. As most people do, you end up going your own way and learning life's lessons.
MY WORK
I spent my twenties & thirties working for Insurance Companies and the Government. Even though, I did very well in my positions, I always felt like I was suppose to be doing something else. Unfortunately, the timing was never right.For several years now, most of my time has been spent tending to my aging parents, my husband John, and three german shepherds. I have been able to squeeze in my love of nature photography, on a part-time basis, as well as writing a couple of manuscripts.

MY PASSION
Today, I feel like I have the opportunity and the sources to achieve what I have been trying to achieve my whole life.I want to get my word out and perhaps by doing that, I can be helping someone or some animal! It has been my passion and my dream, and perhaps now it will blossom into reality!
MY TODAY
I am extremely excited about using Squidoo as, what my husband would call, my soapbox!There are many ideas in my head on different topics for lenses. I feel like I can't get them done quick enough! So, please be patient, they will be forthcoming! I hope you will not be disappointed!
CHARACTERISTICS OF KAROL
Here are some characteristics of myself. It brings out what I love to do! Please note there is no particular order to this list!
- SEEKER - Seeing it, is believing it and capturing it is even better! I love nature photography, but I do enjoy shooting just about anything. (With the camera that is, I do shoot a pistol but only at targets!)
NATURE AT ITS BEST
- LABORER - I fired the landscaper again and am back to doing the lawn & stuff myself! I mostly enjoy planting seasonal flowers & tending to my gardens!
TULIP BLUR
- LOYAL - just like my third German Shepherd, Saber, who is still young. I spend a lot of time playing tennis with him! He keeps me very busy!
SABER
- BIRD-BRAIN - crazy about the feathered creatures! Have several bird feeders on our property.
RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER
- JUST DUCKY - our property banks a river and large pond/lake which brings about 20-100 visitors (ducks , geese, heron, egrets,etc) daily! The ducks like to sneak thru the fence and of course, I don't mind!
MALLARDS IN FLIGHT
- CRAZY - about Hockey Season - I am a New York Ranger fan ever since I was little and will always be one. My husband and I attend many hockey games thruout the season which include the Hartford Wolfpack, who is the AHL Affiliate of the New York Rangers, the Charlotte Checkers who are the ECHL Affiliate of the New York Rangers and of course, we also go to Madison Square Garden to attend a couple of Ranger games each year.
WOLFPACK HOCKEY
- FRIENDLY - I really enjoy visiting friends that I made at a Senior Living Complex where my mother has an apartment. I feel that I brighten their day up, as they do mine!
SENIOR LIVING
- CREATIVE - wanting to be motivational and to help others by writing and photogaphy.

INSPIRATION
- ACTIVE - convinced my husband to go off road mountian biking and onto dirt hiking trails! We are having lots of fun!
COUNTRY TRAILS
- DETERMINED - to get a small ball into a hole in the ground! I am getting back into the swing of things! Fell off the golf green about 10 years back, but recently have started it up again!
GOLF ANYONE?
- EXPLORER - Like taking car rides with my husband, off the beaten path & finding new areas of interest, such as farms, parks, waterfalls, covered bridges, and beaches, things we haven't seen yet here in Connecticut!

- Thanks for commenting on my lens Know Your German Shepherd I see that you went feet first into a lens about yourself. I have yet to do that. Although, I have left bits of me in all my lenses. Very impressive. You're quite the photographer. Nice to get to know you.
