Crocheting
I've been crocheting since I was a kid and within the past year have been making and selling scarves. This is a lens about my own scarves and not really a tutorial on crocheting. I will be listing links for helpful sites that I use though!
Etsy
I lowered prices on a lot of my scarves, so check it out!
Etsy is a wonderful website where hundreds of creative people make and sell their items. It's a really neat site and you want it, it's there. The sellers and buyers are all really nice and helpful people. Support DIY!

Cotton & Wool
Let me tell you, both types are so durable! Felting is such a crazy thing, just make something with wool, stick it in the washer and it's all felted. No crochet or knit holes, nothing.
Our stuff is available at the etsy link below.
Lion Brand Yarn
They have all kinds of neat looking yarns and you can find them all at the website below!
Chenille
So far I only have one chenille scarf up for sale at the moment. I've made some for people this past Christmas and I don't think they've taken them off since!
Other Yarns
Hobby Lobby generally has great sales on yarns.
JoAnn's seems to be geared more towards sewing, at least here it is, but they have coupons!!
Michaels is just a big mix of all kinds of stuff, also coupons!
And local craft stores are great to check out also. They seem to get the lesser sold yarns and supplies. So you'll definately be getting something that's unique.
Oh and here's a suprising note. You can find yarns at Dollar Tree's and other $1 shops. Yea. I was shocked too. It's just when there's an overflow of that particular yarn. Same with Big Lots, they'll get in yarn once in awhile too.
Basically you don't have to spend an arm and a leg for cool yarn.

Misc Crochet Items
One of my new favorite items is a "soap cozy". Basically a washcloth that envelopes your favorite soap. I have it where you can snap close the washcloth so your soap doesn't fall right out. And you just rub together and it suds up. What's great about it is, these little cozy's save those little chunks of soap instead of just being thrown out and wasting.
