Brief Bio
Kat Von D definately practises what she preaches as her body is a testament to her art. She got her first tattoo at the age of 14 and has continued from there. Basically she sees her body as a canvas and she isn't finished yet!
Born in Mexico to Argentinean parents Katherine von Drachenberg moved to LA aged 4 and began drawing at a really early age. She also started tattooing when she was young. She got her first tattoo from a young boy she knew when she was 14, the same guy let her tattoo him with his home-made tattoo set-up. Kat (as she's better known) did a tattoo of the Misfits and was instantly hooked.
She proceeded to leave school and started to tattoo all of her underage friends - this is not something she advocates to other teenagers, however!
Her first job in a professional tattoo shop was at the age of 16.
