Kate Loving Shenk - Inspirational friend
Kate's book is called Transport Your Nursing Career and Discover Your Calling and Destiny
After reading Kate's book, one reader said, "Kate Loving Shenk's perspective on the nursing profession is rich, fresh, and incredibly important. Her truths, her seeking for answers, her urgencies are a tremendous contribution to the medical profession as well as our times. This memoir can enhance every one's faith as they approach a time when they must entrust themselves to the hospital experience and the angels they hope to find there. " Sydney Kissinger
I hope, if I ever need a nurse, God will provide one as loving and caring as Kate!

Meet Kate!
I interviewed Kate!
Joan: As I prepared this lens about you, I read that you are a musician. What instrument do you play? What role does music play in your daily life?Kate: I play the violin and my husband and I play music Irish together!! He sings and plays the guitar and we have alot of fun. We like to play at local establishments on Saint Patrick's day!!
Often we just play with friends after sharing a meal, which is great fun and wonderful laughter and camradery is the result!!
Joan: What do you see as the most urgent health care need in the USA today?
Kate: We need Guaranteed Health Care for everyone, and the only way to do this is by implementing a Single Payer Health Care Delivery System.
Pennsylvania could be the first state to get this going and our group, Progressives For Pennsylvania, are working tirelessly to bring this about!!
Joan: What are your favorite inspirational books?
Kate: I love the ebooks I have recently read, including Banish the Blahs by the Tate sisters!! (LOL), "Magic of Pray Rain Journal" by Jeannette Maw, "The Power of Release," by Buz McGuire, and my favorite book of all time, "Autobiography of a Yogi," by Paramahandsa Yogananda.
Joan: I know you meditate every day. How do you stay so calm and positive?
Kate: I need to meditate twice a day (at a minimum), and hang out with my dogs.
Joan: What is your pet peeve?
Kate: I can't stand to be in the presence of negative people, but often this cannot be avoided, so the trick is, to foster an inward hum, and a sense of constant mirth and good-will.
Joan: What is your dream accomplishment in the next five years?
Kate: Good question!! I want to master the business and the art of Internet Marketing, which will be my retirement activity, but am learning all I can learn now.
Plus I want all of my friends to be successful along with me, and that includes YOU, Joan Tate Adams!!
