Kate Trgovac: Marketer. Mystery. Legend. Blogger.
I speak at conferences and other events a few times each year, generally on social media or virtual worlds. You can see a list of my recent and upcoming talks on my blog.
About Me - Professional Bio (short version)
Written in third person - because that's SEXY!! ;)
In 2007, Kate founded LintBucket Media, a boutique marketing agency headquartered in Vancouver that focuses on social media, community building and co-creation between brands and their audiences. She writes about the intersection of marketing and technology on her blog MyNameIsKate.ca. Kate also publishes OneDegree.ca, an online magazine that provides the inside scoop on Internet marketing and social media for Canadian marketers.
The long version of Kate's bio (if you're really interested) can be found at KateTrgovac.com.

We adopted EmmyLou last summer from the local Sharpei rescue. They found her wandering the streets with a piece of chain around her neck. She was being used as a breeder at a puppy mill. Grrr.
But we've rescued her and now she's living a happy, relaxing life in downtown Vancouver. And I think she might be just a little spoiled :)

My Second Life Avatar: Katicus Sparrow
I am a big fan of Second Life. I'm impressed, in particular, with what educational institutions as well as corporations have accomplished - not so much from a marketing/branding perspective, but by using Second Life as a way to overcome the tyranny of distance. My avatar in Second Life is Katicus Sparrow. I occasionally blog about my findings, observations and shopping trips in Second Life at KaticusSparrow.com.
What my Second Life avatar is up to!

The blog of my better half
My wife, Rosemary Rowe, is an amazing writer. She is a playwright by profession, but also writes marketing copy for LintBucket's clients.
Her blog, Creampuff Revolution, is way funnier than mine!

Lenses like this can be perceived as self-indulgent. I tend to agree. But I did want to put up something on this URL. If you've made it this far, I applaud you! Thank you for visiting!
For less self-indulgent twaddle, you could visit my Funky, Chic and Cool Laptop Bag Lens where I actually write real content :)
