Katie Price decided to start her modelling career in the age of sixteen, after a friend recommended her to do some professional photographs. She sent the exposures to a London based modeling agency. To her surprisal she was asked over to the agency for a first photo shoot and to talk about a contract. Already after a couple of weeks she was featured first time topless on The Sun's Page 3. This time she also adopted the name Jordan, as someone advised her not to use her real name.

Still not sure about her looks, although she appeared regulary on Page 3 as well as in men's lifestyle magazines like Playboy, she was thinking about an operation to increase her cup size. Against protestations from friends as well as family, she finally received breast implants, increasing her cup size from a B to a D, but downsized them recently to a C cup.

From 1997 to 1999 Jordan appeared in several of Playboy's Special Edition Playboy's Book of Lingerie and in 2003 she was the covergirl of Playboy's Voluptuous Vixens.

In May 2004 the first out of three autobiographies was released, Being Jordan. Major publishing houses declined to bring out her book as she demanded 1 million GBP in advance. Finally she found in John Blake an independent publisher, offering 10,000 GBP plus royalties. She arranged a book signing tour and excited so many interest, especially amongst women, that her book ranked #1 in the Nielsen BookScan hardback sales chart. Alltogether she sold more than one million books until January 2007.

Also her second autobiography, Jordan: A Whole New World, where she particularizes the wedding and her family life did well and reached #2 in the hardback sales chart. The third autobiography, Pushed to the Limit, was released in February 2008.

The autographies were followed by two novels. The first one, Angel, sold more than 300,000 in the first six weeks after it was released in June 2006. The second one, Crystal, released, May 2007, sold 159,407 during the first three months. The ghostwriter of all of her books was Rebecca Farnworth.

In 2007 Katie releases a series of children's books, Katie Price's Perfect Ponies, from which one title got nomionated to the WH Smith's Children's Book of the Year.

The new children books series from Katie Price, titled Mermaids & Pirates, was released in 2008.

Together with her ex husband, the singer Peter Andre, Katie released in 2006 the album A Whole New World. The whole revenue is donated to the charities related to the health of her son Harvey. The album started as #20 in the UK charts and reached platinum status.

In 2005 already, Katie was competing to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Ukraine. But she lost in the public voting, presenting her song Not Just Anybody in a tight pink catsuit while being pregnant.
