Henry and Mudge and the Really Great Books

One day while at the library I discovered a book that was about a boy named Henry and his big dog Mudge. Henry lives with his mom and dad and they have a great time together just doing family things, like camping or making a castle in their basement....

A Reflection of Me
I read one of those forwarded e-mails one time that had a few witty quotes about kids. Here's one that sums up Katie:Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
This is so true of Katie. I hear some mothers tell stories about their Little Suzie playing mommy and gently correcting their baby dolls when they do wrong. If the way my daughter plays is any indication, I am always screaming "NO! That's BAD! Don't do THAT!" Sigh. I know that I don't do that, but it is a good reminder that the little eyes are upon me and the little ears will repeat what they hear.
Katie Quotables

- Does Grandmom's dungeon [basement] have rats in it?
- My tummy hurts. I think it's because my brain is working so, so hard.
- Mommy, I'm tired. I need to sit down and rest and then I can clean up my room.
- When I see the pretty princesses... it makes me want to go to DISNEY WORLD!
- Mommy, I'm really old. I'm like 80! It was my birthday... and nobody got me a card!

Lenses about Being a Mom
Here are some lenses I've created because Katie made me a mom. If it weren't for her, I'd know nothing about these things...-
Who Makes the BEST Diapers?
-
I'm a mom of two who's got a few opinions on just what makes a good diaper. I thought my thoughts would be helpful to other parents, so I've made a lens about my diapering experiences and I've cast my vote for what I think is the best diaper of them...

My Potty Training Success Story by Nicole Seitler

Katie is a Big Sister!
On July 1, 2006, Katie became a big sister! But judging from the size of her "little" brother you wouldn't know it.Katie loves being a big sister and she's a very good one! She's now learned a lot about how to be a good mommy (babies shouldn't eat Play-Doh) and she helps quiet to quiet her brother when he's fussy (by dancing and singing for him). I think it's safe to say they will have a great relationship as they grow older. They already are very sweet with each other, as you can see here.

This Lens Supports Blood:Water Mission in Katie's Name
This lens is proud to support Blood:Water Mission, an organization that is committed to clean blood and clean water to fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic, to build clean wells in Africa, to support medical facilities caring for the sick, to make a lasting impact in the fight against poverty, injustice and oppression in Africa through the linking of needs, talents and continents, of people and resources. When Katie found out about the kids in Africa and their "yucky water" she wanted to send them all the coins in her piggy bank. Since her piggy bank isn't close to full yet, Travis and I decided to make lenses in support of Blood:Water Mission. That way, we could contribute something now and not wait for "someday" to come. I am proud to do this in Katie's name.
A donation of one dollar equals one year of clean water for one African. You can find out more by visiting their website:
