God in the Bible - quotes
-
People have their own image of God - yet God presents himself in the Bible in a variety of ways. I thought I'd go back to what's in that book to see the way God is portrayed there.
My own spiritual practice
In the theosophical tradition the main method of meditation is contemplation. This means just thinking (contemplating) on fundamental truths. These truths could be the nature of kindness, holism, whether there is such a thing as reincarnation etc.
My current contemplation theme is 'the nature of truth'. In other words: how do scientific truth, experienced truth and religious truth combine? I don't have an answer to that - but in contemplation that's sort of the point anyhow: if I already knew the answer, why think about it?
Spiritual controversies
Most of these are HEY MONKEY BRAIN lenses. On some I added the debate / duel option later on. Anyhow - feel free to sound in on what you believe in!-
