My own spiritual practice
I'm a vegetarian, I abstain from alcohol and I take walks.
In the theosophical tradition the main method of meditation is contemplation. This means just thinking (contemplating) on fundamental truths. These truths could be the nature of kindness, holism, whether there is such a thing as reincarnation etc.
Over the past few years I've contemplated such themes as 'the nature of truth'. In other words: how do scientific truth, experienced truth and religious truth combine? I don't have an answer to that - but in contemplation that's sort of the point anyhow: if I already knew the answer, why think about it?
In 2010 I started a form of self-taught meditation based on mindfulness and Zen.

- Thanks for including Esoteric Christianity
by Dwight Ott. I found it very useful. I like the way you put it in your squidoo or blog. It is done simply. I do not know how to do this. You even put in Teresa of Avila. Were those statements quotations from her writings? I do not recognize them as hers. Maybe you have a different translation. Maybe you can teach me how to put such statements in a blog or squidoo. Thanks again.

- I'm not quite sure what you mean. There are NO quotes on this page, so if that's the question, the answer is NO.

- Nice collection of resources regarding spirituality--way more than 5 stars! I believe in the importance of maintaining that balance between mind, body, and spirit. For the las 39 years as a therapist, I have encouraged my clients to walk in the Light. I met you on Squidoo Review. Hope you will see how I try to help others via The Eby Way. Sincerely: Gary Eby, author and therapist.
