Katiyana's Collectibles Halloween Collection

Katiyana's Collectibles makes handmade doll clothes and handmade bear clothes.  One of the holidays that I have designs made up for is Halloween.  This lens is dedicated to the Halloween themed designs I have created.  All of these items are available for purchase at my website.  I currently have four motifs available in 6 different sizes.

My current selection of Halloween motifs are a Jack O Lantern, a pumpkin, a ghost, and a witch's hat.  You can see pictures of each of these down below.

The six sizes of sweater currently available at my website include 18 inch American Girl dolls, 16 inch Cabbage Patch Kid dolls, 15 inch Bitty Baby dolls, 17-18 inch Build A Bear Workshop animals, 14 inch Build A Bear Cubs, and 14 inch Cabbage Patch Kid Newborn dolls.

Combined shipping & handling are available if you purchase more than 1 item, plus all of my items are custom made, so you can pick the colors used to make them.

I also have a Super Shopper Reward Program available - for every $40 in merchandise purchased, you earn a gift certificate redeemable for a free sweater!   You can redeem it yourself, or give it as a gift, it comes with a self-addressed stamped envelope for mailing back to me.

For extra savings - spend $100 on merchandise at my new website and receive FREE SHIPPING!

Halloween is one of my major holidays for my business, it doesn't leave me a lot of time to celebrate it myself.  Is that way for you too?  Would you like to learn more about Pumpkin Painting?  Here is a guide you can buy to help you with ideas and learning to skills to decorate your pumpkins in a new, creative way that doesn't involve messy carving.

Jack O Lantern Sweater

One of the first sweaters I created for my collection was a Jack O Lantern motif. The pumpkin is turned into a Jack O Lantern using 3 buttons for the eyes and nose, and stitchery for the mouth. I have a picture of it being modelled by a Cabbage Patch Kid to the left.

Pumpkin Sweater

Later on someone asked me if I could make a sweater with just the pumpkin and not the buttons - silly me for not thinking of that before! So we added the pumpkin motif sweater to the collection. Its being modelled on the left on a Cabbage Patch Kid doll.

Ghost Sweater

His nickname is Jangaboo

Before I started working on sweaters, I actually created some handmade halloween decorations (see below). Some friends had helped me with naming some of the characters I had created, and the ghost bell became Jangaboo. It made sense to add a ghost motif to my collection, in honor of Jangaboo - although it does look a lot like a Pacman ghost :)

Witch Hat sweater

This one was another customer request design, for a witch's hat (the hat by itself was much easier to do than trying to create a witch's face!).

Handmade Halloween Decorations

I don't just do sweaters.

As I said earlier, I started out doing decorations, and crocheted 4 different kinds of ornaments - a pumpkin, a ghost bell, a spider that hangs from the ceiling or a hook, and a black cat sitting in a pumpkin. All 4 of these items are available for purchase at my original website.

The ghost is called Jangaboo, the spider is called Spookers, the black cat is called Booskers, and the pumpkin, unfortunately, was never given a name.

I'll be adding new sizes in the future.

Check out our Pumpkin Decorating Contest Entries from where I work!

What fun!

These are the various entries in our company's Halloween contest. It was sponsored by our Employee Committee, who tries to come up with creative, fun ideas to bring us together as a company. In addition to the pumpkins, we brought in lots of candy bars and candy corn, as well as caramel apples to celebrate Halloween.

Our entry was the Tin Man - we didn't win, but it was sure fun, and we have some pretty creative people around here!

The History of Halloween

Did you ever wonder how Halloween came to be a holiday? Where the traditions came from? Then read on!

Halloween, or Hallowe'en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses", carving Jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories and watching horror movies. Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, New Zealand, and occasionally in parts of Australia. In Sweden the All Saints' official holiday takes place on the first Saturday of November.
