The beach at Hanalei Bay is one of the favorites for beach weddings. This wide sandy beach is a perfect location to host your special occasion. Surrounded by lush mountains Hanalei Beach is almost two miles of sand circling this peaceful bay that is shaped like a half moon.

Timing is important if you are considering Hanalei Bay for your Wedding. At times the surf on the North Shore of the bay can be very heavy. While this is advantageous to surfers this can be a problem if you are planning to take pictures at the waters edge. The south side is usually much calmer but it would be best to consult a local before making definite plans.

I've personally stayed at the Hale Makai Cottages, They have 5 collages surrounding their own garden. The closest cottage has a deck that overhangs the beach. The furthest cottage is probably less than a 30-40 yard walk across their garden. This Kauai Vacation Rental property is literally beach side!
