Some of the basics.
I started kayak fishing a few years ago. I live on the Oregon coast and there are many place you can launch from. But don't think I am pro. i use basic gear and try and keep cost to a bare minimum.
The kayaks I use most often are both from Ocean Kayak, the Drifter, and the Malibu II. Both are sit atops and are very stable. I prefer sit atops because it is much easier to into your seat. The seats I use are Tall Back for Surf to Summit. Both of these boats were from a kayak rental shop that closed. I don't use any fancy gizmos, just what I need to bring home dinner.
