What the future Wikipedia page will read...

...as soon as they admit I'm important enough for a page!

Kimberly Dawn Wells was born in 1982 in Annapolis, MD.  As a military brat, she lived in several states before graduating from high school in Medford, WI in 2000.  February 1st, 1999, while still in school, she started K23 Enterprises, a web development firm.  She quit web design in 2004 to become a full-time writer, and added several CafePress shops to her list in 2005.  In 2006 she started working with Squidoo on part-time projects, and was hired in 2007 as their Community Organizer.  Also in 2007, she made the transition from general freelancing to medical writing. Kimberly is a volunteer EMT, volunteer firefighter, school board member, and HazMat and special rescue technician.  But she's a horrible cook.

What do I really look like?

On some days, like this:

Having a Good Hair Day

My sexy look, as per request.

So much to learn, so many lenses.

Kimberly's Many Jobs

It's a joke among friends that Kimberly collects jobs, often taking on new ones without quiting current ones. This is a list of jobs Kimberly has held during her lifetime. The bold listings are positions Kimberly is currently in. The italicized listings were less than stellar.
  • Giovanni's Bakery in St. Clair Shores, MI (12 years old)

I don't make much time for hobbies and other favorite things, but I have started lenses on a few of them.

Q&A With Kimberly

Want to ask Kimberly a question? Contact her directly for your chance to have it answered!
  • Q: You're very busy! How do you get so much done?
A: I'm very single. And childless.
  • Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I game (WoW and Nintendo), work out, crochet, make scrapbook cards, and work. Yes, I love most of my jobs.
  • Q: What was it like moving all the time when you were little?
A: I didn't know any better, and still don't. I don't know the people I went to kindergarten with, like people around here (Medford, WI) do.
  • Q: What's the longest you've lived in one place?
A: I've been in my house in Medford for 7 years.
  • Q: What are your favorite books to read?
A: I LOVE medical stuff, including fiction like Hot Zone and Cobra Event, and non-fiction like Life Inside the Frontal Lobe and YOU: The Owners Manual.
  • Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: An ER doctor, teacher, or the president. I'm an EMT and medical/freelance writer, so that's kind of like being an ER doctor and teacher. The president can keep his job. I can get more done from other positions.
  • Q: Besides being single, how do you get so much done.
A: I multi-task something fierce, but it works for me. Right now I'm uploading to Flickr, organizing videos for an auction, resolving Squidoo bugs, writing a newsletter, and eating Skittles. I'm very talented.

People I've been accused of looking like.

Over the years, as my hair style (and color) has changed, I've received a variety of comments about who I look like, including, "that girl from Crossing Jordan."

Um, Jordan?

P.S. If you buy something from this page...

... you'll automatically be making a donation to The Acumen Fund, working to solve global poverty.

Doesn't that feel good?

Oh, wait, that would mean I'd have to sell something. See below.

Fun Mousepads

Kimberly doesn't need any more shirts (goodness...no more shirts...) but she could use a new mousepad. These awesome designs are in the running.
