Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE
Hank Williams, Jr. drew fire for his comments on Fox & Friends when he compared a much-publicized golf meeting between President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner to "Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu," referring to Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Even though he qualified his comments by adding, "When both sides are high-fiving it on the ninth hole when everybody else is without a job—it makes a whole lot of us angry," the damage was done. Thus ended a relationship between Hank Williams, Jr. and ESPN that had its roots in 1991, when an adapted version of the country legend's song "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight" became a staple on "Monday Night Football."

- great lens! my father is a rabid hank sr fan, and i like to tease him that hank jr is as good as hank sr, and pop always says, now son, hank jr is good, but he'll never be as good as his dad!

- I think ESPN was within their rights to terminate him for the same reason that he is within his rights to speak his mind, but I don't agree with their decision. I think the song's great and love the conversation that has evolved as a result of the incident which, as seems to happen a lot when conservatives speak out, was blown way out of proportion. In my opinion. :)
