Nearly all will comment of how they gained weight and made an absolute pig of themselves, and how they want to get in or back into shape.
Saying and doing are two different things while some people say but never succeed to the few people that do and keep motivated. Motivation is the key but keeping it is a skill.
We all love christmas and nearly all of us will let go for that week or two while we hang our weight lifting gloves up taking our chinning bars down and rolling our workout mats up forgetting about the work that we have done.
That is the first mistake people make as it kills our motivation.

Taking some time off is needed and deserved but how do we drive that motavation back into our veins?

You dont need to exercise everyday of your holidays even if you just done a couple of days will help you keep motavated and keen sometimes if we take a long rest we get a couldnt be bothered anymore approach.

Here I will give you all five reasons of how and why doing short workouts will benefit you and keep you in top shape over your holidays...

If we take a long period of rest which sometimes is needed to heal our muscle groups but do not partake in any exercise over our resting period we can loose stregnth, the will to continue and high levels of fatigue.
Number two.
Our joints will weaken making it harder for us to continue from where we left off from.
Number three.
Your muscle will start to decay in other words you will start to loose your muscle mass and defined muscles will become undefined.
Number four.
You will fall back into your old self slopping back into that chair while your amune system weakens.

To avoid this it will only take you 15 to 20 minutes of basic or quick one set workouts with weights to slow down muscle decay and fatigue build up. It doesent take long and you only have to repeat this quick workout atleast twice in the weeks you take off.
Fatigue is a killer and is every athletes nightmare and makes everything that much harder and leads us into injury...

Five Workouts To Keep In Shape...

Keeping our selves motivated can be a burden if we take a complete break from our workout regeim not doing any exercise.
Who wants to continue training every day or second day for an hour.
But wait a minute there.
You dont have to but if you continue to do some exercise while taking a break over christmas it wont be so challenging going back to the gym or doing your body weight training.

Here I will give you five easy workouts you can do in just a matter of minutes taking no time from your day. Do each workout one after the other until you complete the full workout. Do each set once by as many reps as you can manage until your body gives in then move on to the next one.

Number one
Wide grip chin-ups.
Number two
ab crunches with hands held upright above your head.
Number three
Leg squats.
Number four
Close grip pull-ups.
Number five
Closed fist push-ups. Closing your fists face down on the mat.

How To Get Back Into The Swing Of Things.

For some of us, just christmas gone we chose to do no workouts or short workouts over the holidays and for those of us that took a number of weeks off will notice that your not as bulky looking as you were from where you left from. We notice our strength will decress as fatigue will start to kick in. This is the first stages of muscle decay and the only way to beat it is to get back exercising. If you cant lift as heavy of a load after time off either decress your reps or decress the weight load

A Quick Weight Lifting Workout...

Start to loose that weight you gained over christmas.

Here is a workout pattern I use with dumbbells that only takes a few minutes each time. I do these twice a week if taking time off from trainng

Rotating bicep curls,
Concentration bicep curls,
Tricep extension,
Chest press,
Shoulder press,
Upright row,
Leg lunges,
Chest pullover,
Ab curl, (With weight disc held behind head)
Neck shrugs.


Do each technique once by as many reps until your body cannot take any more
