All girls love teddy bears. Go to any store selling teddy bears and you will find young ladies cuddling up to them. My other half said she didn't care much about teddy bears but after getting her first teddy. She liked it so much. Now I give her a teddy bear for almost every birthday. Sometimes I just buy one out of the blue. That's the best surprise for her. For Valentine's day a few years back, instead of giving flowers. I searched in a local online store in Malaysia similar to ebay. Found a bouquet of little teddy bears (about 10 in total), best part of it they will deliver on Valentine's day and they attached a card with a message you choose. Well when the bouquet arrived at her office, she was beaming for a very long time. She did not only enjoy the teddy bouquet but also received comments and attention from her office mates which added to her enjoyment. The teddy bouquet lasted longer than flowers. Now my other half, have more than 30 teddy bears. Sorry I lost count. Another idea is that if you have to be away from home, you can buy a teddy bear Attach a note saying This is your bodyguard teddy while I'm away. He will guard you and keep you company.

My other half and I had to be apart for sometime due to my work. I found this idea on the net. What I did was find a beautiful box. Inside it I put in my favourite t-shirt, 1 CD of very soft romantic music, a box of her favourite tea (something really soothing), scented candles and a teddy bear. I printed an instruction manual like the ones you get when you purchase electrical items. What I wrote in is like this

1. Ensure that you are alone.
2. Make yourself a mug of tea.
3. Make sure that the doors are locked and windows leaving a little gap in the window for fresh air.

6. Light the scented candles. Put it near to you but make sure there is nothing flammable near it.

Make two pendant that when join become one. Leave a note together with the bigger half saying you have half of my heart. Wear the other half. I made mine when I was working in Thailand. I designed it on a piece and pass it to a silver smith. I gave the bigger half to my loved and wore a smaller part. With that I gave her a note saying "You have half of my heart"

My wife loves roses. And we are presently living in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia where roses are grown abundantly. Whenever her friends come by from the other parts of Malaysia, she always brings them to the Rose Valley just by our house. Hand write small romantic love notes and place them where she will sure to see it. Some examples are in her purse, under her pillow or even on her vanity table. Spray some of your perfume on it, the one she likes. Another idea is to buy some Post It notes maybe pink ones and write romantic messages and post it in places where she is bound to see them. This year for our fifth year anniversary we went back to the resort where we first met. It was a beach resort in the East Coast of Malaysia called Impiana Resort Cherating. So we recreated what we did there when we were dating. We walked on the beach where we used to walk. Sat where we sat. We even took photos of places where we had taken pictures before. A candlelight picnic on the beach is a truly romantic idea even better if there's a full moon. Buy a mat to lay on the sand. The wind will make it hard to light a candle. You can do what I did. Buy one of those cheap battery operated lamps from the thrift shops. Put everything in a nice bag, set it up when both of you are on the beach. She will sure to appreciate your effort. And if you want some romantic music, just put some mp3 music on your mobile. But play soft music to compliment the sound of the waves not drown it. Remember to clean up after you are finished.
