I am so sad this morning. Watching Keith's goodbye was heart wrenching. What will America become when there is no longer a place for a man like him? I have worked mightily to hold onto my natural optimism, but I'm beginning to lose it, guys.

This Keith should be taken off the air for good. You don't say things like he did of a young lady like he did Sara Paylin's daughter. You can say what you want to about the Mom, but leave the kids out of it. He wouldn't like it if it was his daughter. I personally would love to kick him where the sun don't shine. Get rid of him, please!!!!

The best way to bring Keith Olberman back is to hit the sponsors of MSNBC for his show and do not buy their products and contact them .That is what we did, If the corporate execs can donate to a campaign than why not their employees. They are unamerican.
That clause has to be a violation of constitutional law on free speech.

I am a 50 year white male. I live in a mostly Repulican town of London, KY and the reason why the Republican party doesn't want to work with Obama is the poor people spent their money to get Obama elected and the rich have no power in the Obama administration. Keep up the good work and we will stick with Obama come hell or high water. My family and I will vote Tuesday against Rand Paul.

    Dear Mr. Olbermann,
I am a WWII combat medic veteran and would appreciate your informing your audience
that contrary to the views of the "simplistic and heroic" reenactors championed by the
Congressional Republican candidate from Ohio, the WAFFEN SS WERE NOT TRUE
SOLDIERS BUT A GAGGLE OF ASSASSINS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MURDER -EXECUT-
ION OF 84 AMERICAN PRISONERS OF WAR IN MALMEDY,BELGIUM,DURING THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE ON DECEMBER 17TH,1944.AFTER MACHINE GUNNING THESE UNARMED
AMERICAN G.I.'s, these kind honorable soldiers went by and systematically executed those
still alive by head shots with a pistol !!!

For shame,I am shocked that we have not heard more protests from Veteran's groups such as
the American Legion and the V.F.W. These SS troops were responsible for genocide on a
massive scale and the reenactor candidate and his ilk are to be considered beyond the pale.
Don't we teach History in our schools? How quick we forget!
    Sincerely,
    Maurice S. Albin,M.D.

Really, really like your show. "Worst Person" segment is great, but the label "worst person" is worn by some recipients like a badge of honor for their right-wing cronies. I think "Stupidest Person" or "Most Ridiculous Person" or "Most Ludicrous (Idiotic, absurd, Goofy, laughable etc.) - you get the idea. These labels would be hard to strut.

Keith is great..he tells the news honestly and with a little humor. One only has to watch Fox to see how news should NOT be done. Keep Keith on, I hate it when he's off for the night and someone else fills in. All my friends watch Keith nightly.

Judith. It is sad to see you focus your attention of truth to Olberman. He is a Bias Liberal Socialist. He believes that the left is the only way. At least Fox news blends their news with truth and bias. He does not even allow a second opinion on air. I am sick of the mainstream media attempting to control American voters.
Oop's I guess you follks are loosing the battle. CBS and other main line polls are showing the American people are sick of the Lies. I am just now gathering info about the Tea Party. They are the real Americans. Willing to stand up against the Oversized Government. I would be classified a poor American. But, I refuse to accept a Government handout, in order to increase control over my rights that were granted to me by God. Not the Democrat Party. ( which have announced multiple times, they give the rights). Maybe you will understand, when the extra 16,000 IRS workers come knocking on your, or your neighbor's door demanding your payment for Health care insurance. Here is issue that bothers me the most. Why does Obama want a civilian force stronger or just as strong and as well funded as the U.S. Military? If you study History at all, that should cause you sleepless nights. Wake Up! I don't care what party you are from. I feel it's time for us to re-form the American Party.
What was wrong with the 1950's till the 1960's. America was wholesome and true.
What changed the All American view? Media and Liberal anti American comments.

You are a Dumb Ass!. Every Democrat, over 90% agreed and voted the Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Including Clinton. Russia, France, Spain and every other Country agreed. When you try to blame this on President Bush. You are blaming just about every world politician. This proves my understanding about you left leaning individuals. You speak and vote stricktly on emotions, rather than facts.
Go ahead and stand in line for your Socialists handouts. I intend to stand in line to earn my way and pay for my own Health Insurance. By the way! Can't you wait to pay for $6.00 to $ 10.00 per gal of gas when Obamas new global warming tax is imposed?
That is relly going to help ths struggling world economy. Considering China and India and Russia told the U.S. To shove that Worlds Carbon Credit tax. (Up Our Ass)
They know it will ruin the world economy. I agree in saving the enviornment. But do it in steps, not in a way that destroys the world economy.

There's a difference between journalism and commentary. Olbermann mostly comments on the news. He's a brilliant, stylistic showman with a left-progressive slant. There's something special about his show -- filled with facts and delivered in a contemporary style.

Points of view are okay in commentaries. It's such a relief that the time of truly dumb, fact-less, right-conservative commentary aimed at people who aren't good critical thinkers are in descendancy. We've suffered with that point of view for the past 8 years. It's very retrogressive and doesn't move us forward to a more enlightened world.

But, essentially, cable-TV commentary is actually news-wonk entertainment. So, sit back and learn something, but take it all with a grain of salt. Sadly, the decline of investigative journalism and old-school newspapers probably means we'll not be getting as many true and unadulterated (and vetted) facts with our commentary.

I guess this is an Olberman love site but I think he is just an angry loudmouth that needs to be heard by the 8 people that watch his show. He hated Pres Bush, Bill O'Reilly and 9 million others. Msnbc keeps this goof on the air even though he gets beat by all the other channels every night. I do think he won the 300am to 310am slot against Billy Mays and Shamwow. I am a democrat that cannot believe the anger this man has for everyone but himself. He must be a gem to work with. Everynight he bashes the same people. Never takes calls or emails on the air because he knows what would happen. I guess the people at ESPN,FOX, and all the other places that let him go knew what a complete jerk he is. Run for office Olbermann. Al Franken did and you are goofier than him. You are like Barry Bonds. If we never saw you again who cares. Gene

    Problem:
During interviews, the time delay makes the subject appear to always be very hesitant about their answer, when in fact they're answering the question as soon as they hear it.
    Why this important:
A person's response time is a huge indicator of their meaning. Example: If you ask a person if they like say, your new haircut, and they say "yes" right away, you believe them. If the they hesitate for a bit and then say "yes", you don't.
    Solution:
As this is not a live show, simply time shift the feed from the interview subject forward so that the point where they're hearing the question matches the point where the viewer hears it.

Have you heard him report on anything at all that is against the democratic party? NO. He proves to be one of the main forces that are driving this country apart by his slanted and overly sarcastic "Stories". Why has he not mentioned even 1 of the numerous problems that involve the democratic party? No mention of how fanny, freddie, AIG etc.. were all led by and payed out to democrats. No mention of ANY of the Biden gaffes(which there are thousands of) It appears that his ENTIRE show, along with the charming Raechal Maddow show, are on the air soley to create biased stories against whomever they are against. Since when did this become the way to report the news to the nation. He is despicable in the worst way that one can be. He is a disgrace to true journalism.

Anyone who believes Keith Olbermann is a hack or isn't a real newscaster, must be some RIGHT-WING psychopath!!!

You should ROT in your own right-wing echo chamber with the reverb at maximum.

    What was the McCain's role?:

From a testimony of over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans made during an investigation in Detroit, 1971:
"We had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and ravaged the countryside."

Hello---I have never ben to this site, but I am soooo entertained (even informed!) by the Keith Olbermann Show! He is an absolute hoot!! With what he says, I am surprised he doesn't need a bodyguard! I only wish that REPUBLICANS would be forced to watch the show! This new Rachel Maddow Show is much the same, and I will enjoy that as well. Hurrah! to gutsy people like them!

If we let them get away with this I will be soooo annoyed. If anything makes me proud to be a Democrat it is listening to a speech by Giuliani. WOW! That is the most vile talk I have ever heard. Thank the Lord I am proud enough of my heritage and my beliefs that I do not have to sink to the tactics used by the Republicans. Shame on them!!!!

Keith Olbermann could really run with this one:

    Mav"er*ick (?), n.
In the southwestern part of the united States, a bullock or heifer that has not been branded, and is unclaimed or wild; -- said to be from Maverick, the name of a cattle owner in Texas who neglected to brand his cattle.
Here is a definition of the term, Maverick, which has been applied to John McCain. Well, can we not say that John McCain's neglect, or lack, of vetting Sarah Palin, resonates strongly with this definition of the Texas cattle owner who neglected to brand his cattle? How about "unclaimed" (by the Republican base) or "wild" (questionable temperament and judgment)?

Keith, dont you think that American voters have to choose one out of two fascists running for presidency?

Doesn't Joe Liebermann look like an old prostitute? Did he forget that it was the Russian Army which stopped holocaust on May 9, 1945?

What do you see looking in McCain's eyes? I see in one eye "War Criminal", in another "Fascist".
Amazing that no American has dared to ask McCain: how many Vietnamese did he kill there spreading democracy?

Keith was good with sports, but his political views have no journalism integrity. He tries so hard to be super-serious, but it comes across as an childish, socially inept, IV league alumni. He is so pretentious, and horribly ignorant to reality. His wit is being wasted on an irrelevant show, since his political views are extremely irrelevant. Please, someone at MSNBC needs to get him back to his roots.

Is Obama proud to be American? Didnt Americans try to kill him today in Denver?

Dr. King was not afraid to speak about KKK and American fascism. He knew where is the real danger for him and for the entire country. He had never spoken down to black people and he had never spoken down to Russia.

Who in America will plot to kill McCain? No-one. All outrage is about Obama. Does Barak know why? If so why not to tell it to CNN and Fox? Or Barak is afraid not to be elected and prefers to keep his mouth shut?

Obama speaks about danger from Russia while his fellow citizens try to kill him in Denver. It seems Barak has a very funny understanding of who is who. Can he really change anything? I doubt.

Why not invite Obama on your show. Ask him to speak about his vote

    Keith,

I posted this today on MNBC and wanted to share it with you.

I don't know where to begin! I woke up this morning with great
sadness. As if a member of my family had died. It is strange because I
don't know if I had wept this much when a member of my family actually did
die. I am a Republican and very political but every time Tim would
talk or answer a question I would always pay such close attention. Last
Saturday I was watching the MSNBC coverage of the Clinton speech and
the suspension of her campaign. Something that I kept wanting to ask him
was who is going to be on Meet the Press tomorrow because of what had
just happen. Well apparently I was not the only one because seconds
later Matthews asked him that question. I travel a lot for work and
always try to tune in for Morning Joe and one thing that always struck me
was how genuine he was with his co workers coming out and shaking hands
and laughing. I recall the day after the Iowa Caucus this year and
Morning Joe was on live from a local dinner. Tim had just finished
his set and as he got up to leave something I will never forget about
him hit me. Joe and Mika were still live and you could see Tim leaving
the dinner in the background. Like me you and everyone he put on his
jacket and turned to leave. On his way out you could see that he
actually stopped and talk to us common folk eating breakfast. That one
instance to me says it all. We love Tim because he is every man and women.
Although he could be a Washington Elitists he was not. I never met
the man but last night my wife Betsy and I said a prayer for him and his
family. As a republican I always get fired up when Keith Olbermann
would start talking about the President or John Mccain to a point where
my blood would boil. Well Last week while watching the coverage of the
final primary's I heard Tim tell Keith that is a great question. I
remember being irritated because a man who I looked up and had so much
respect for would give such a great compliment to somebody who I
disagreed with so much. I remember telling my wife I bet Keith does
not even appreciate that compliment because I had heard Russert say that
to him on another occasion as well. Let me just say this last night
while watching Keith Olbermanns covering I got a tier in my eye because
he talked about how important that was to him. For one night I felt as
one with Mr. Olbermann. In this time of politics things can be nasty
but the amount of respect I have gained for Keith "not his politics" but
him personally can not be measured. I was very glad that I did catch
Tim say great question and now today I am even more grateful that he
said it. The saddest thing for me is we will no longer have our Nation's
political Dad here anymore. Like Lieberman said he was and always
will be the Explainer and Chief. God bless his family and everyone at
NBC. I feel as I have lost a member of my family as well!

A University employee downloads a document from the Internet about Al-Qaeda for a colleague in the politics department as part of the University's required reading list, meanwhile, a former Speaker of the House publicly laments the fact that more Americans have not been killed in terrorist attacks.

Who gets arrested under terrorism legislation? The University employee of course!

Welcome to the up is down, down is up twilight zone of the post-9/11 world!

Newt Gingrich can publicly encourage the government to allow terrorists to attack America to prove "we're in danger" and people barely batter an eyelid yet woe betide someone read something about terrorists, otherwise they'll be shackled and locked up quicker than you can say "police state".

"This is ... one of the great tragedies of the Bush administration," Gingrich said during a Long Island bookstore appearance. "The more successful they've been at intercepting and stopping bad guys, the less proof there is that we're in danger."

Keith...I really enjoyed Countdown, but lately it seems you have become an attack dog for Obama while Hillary is under constant slam by you Tim and Joe. Actually she has been getting a fairer coverage on the Fox Noise Channels. I am really disappointed that Bill and Hillary are being spun as racists. Have people forgotten that Coretta Scott King sat with the Clintons through two elections.I am a conservative democrat from Texas and proud that I never voted for Bush even as Governor. I am fine with the constant Bush bashing, but I think you should chill with Bill and Hill. Respectfully Tim from Texas
