23 Things I Learned From A $250,000 Internet Marketing Education

Today's GOLDEN Nuggets come from our guest Blogger - Ricky Breslin

Who do you believe? Who do you trust, online and in life?

I want to share a story with you, something I hope can help you, as you move forward in business.

When I was 22 years old, I was in the Air Force and working Langley Air Force Base, at a place called MILSTAR (Military Satellite And Tactical Relay). It sounds complicated, and the job itself could be, but thank God all we did was play PlayStation on the 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. shift.

Because of the cake hours, that job became the birth of my online career. I had no clue what I was doing; I just knew that the Internet was the future, and I hated being in the Air Force.

So I started reading forums - particularly the SitePoint forum when I first got started. I was reading about 10-12 hours per day. I couldn't stop. Merchant accounts, conversion, websites, HTML, blogging, e-books, etc. It just didn't stop. My brain was on fire.

Then, in the beginning of 2004, my wife and I registered our first domain name, and it was game-on.

As I'm writing this in early, 2010, I've gone through all of my corporate tax returns and calculated that I've spent a little over $250,000 on my Internet education. This includes seminars, paid phone calls, mentorships, coaching, digital products, physical products, etc.

You're probably asking the question, "Dude! Are you freakin' serious?" Yup.

Most people think I'm crazy. And, at the end of the day, maybe I am.

But here's the real reason I spent that much money on education: I always thought I was missing something. I always thought there was so much more I could learn. Basically I didn't feel "qualified." I thought I knew a lot, but not enough.

In 2005 I got sick from the stress. Back then I would have books about marketing, copywriting, and the Internet piled up by my side. I would read until my eyes hurt. I'd study until I fell asleep. Then, I'd wake up and do it all over again. And the sick part is, I always felt like I was so far behind%u2026I felt like everybody was so far ahead of me, and it drove me even harder.

Insecure? Maybe. Not confident in my own abilities? Possibly. Serious about succeeding? Absolutely. If I knew then what I know now, would I still do it? No.

So, in 2007 I had a "moment of clarity." I had just paid $800 to talk to a sales "guru" on the phone for an hour because I wanted to acquire a skill I didn't have at the time.

After that disappointing phone call, I was very frustrated with the value delivered. I knew about 100 times more than the person I'd just spoken to, and I knew it in my heart. It was an important revelation for me personally. That call helped me prove to myself that I was "qualified."
After all these calls, courses, and time, you're probably asking what I learned.

Let me answer this question very bluntly. After $250,000 of Internet marketing education, consulting with CEO's, doctors, marketing professionals, lawyers, and making a full-time living online myself, I offer the following advice.

1. You're probably much smarter than you think. Most people have no idea what you know.

2. Wisdom has nothing to do with time. There are 85-year-old idiots. Time doesn't make you smart; study, working hard, implementation, and experience do. Never be discouraged by age - yours or someone else's.

3. There are more scam artists online than you think. Be skeptical - a lot of people are faking success online.

4. Be careful what you study. When it comes to marketing, copywriting, conversion, etc. You can waste a lot of time on "information." Know that action normally trumps education, but I highly recommend getting some education before you create an action plan. Most people go head-first into stuff they have no clue about it, and the action they do take is almost worthless.

5. Only build relationships with people of integrity. The majority of online marketers are willing to whore themselves out and be associated with anyone as long as it makes them money. I see this every day. Integrity is so important.

6. Be yourself. I think the biggest reason people fail online is because they aren't doing what they truly love. Some people love the marketing process, like me, and that's fine - do that. I personally could sell washers and dryers, I just love selling, design, conversion, building, creating, etc. Some people have to actually sell something they love, and those people should stick with that. You will never make it long-term in this business if you don't wake up hungry, ready to make things happen.

7. You must distinguish between what matters and what doesn't matter. Decisiveness is a quality you must develop. Think, then decide quickly. Time doesn't create better decisions, unless the decision requires more information. If the decision doesn't require more information, make the decision fast, be confident in your decision; then, move on and forget about it. Don't worry if you made the wrong decision.

8. Learn to ask great questions.I recommend when you are speaking to anybody that you think of great questions and ask them. It shows humility, and you'd be surprised at how much people will open up to you. Be willing to learn. Labor for the right questions, and ask a lot of them.

9. Determine to live your life on deadlines. Most people don't, but you must. When I start doing business with a new person, I always let them know how I do business, and they're always surprised. I let them know that I put everything in my Outlook calendar with a deadline, and then forget about it. This does 3 things. First, it allows me to forget about the project, freeing my brain from more information. Second, it establishes my expectation of the person who's working for me. And third, it allows me to figure out who is dependable.

10. Be teachable. I still read a lot. I do so to stay fresh and on top of my game. Don't ever think you know it all. Continue to search for tactics and techniques that can help your business, but be more obsessed with implementing what you learn so you can test it for yourself.

11. If you're going to follow someone's teachings, make sure that they are making money with the same things they teach. This can be very hard; I've been through many "teachers" and spent a lot of wasted money, and most of the time I just keep coming back to the basics or a book from back in the day.

12. Build your "team" early. Find your graphic designer, webmaster, etc. early. Pay them what they ask, pay early or on time, and be faithful. These people will play a very important role in your success. I went through about 15 graphic designers before I found the person I'm with now. And I'm not afraid to send that person business either. Never be afraid to share the wealth.

13. Recognize your weaknesses. I am not skilled at webmaster-type work such as CSS, HTML, etc. It stresses me out and it frustrates me. But what would be even worse is if I tried to fight that weakness on a daily basis, tried to excel at something I'm not gifted at, and become even more stressed and unhappy doing that sort of thing. Recognize your weakness and outsource it.

14.When starting out, I recommend a 50% education vs. 50% action model. As you start becoming more successful online, I'd recommend moving to a 30% education vs. 70% action model.

15. Start to value testing.I recommend that you stick with A/B split testing. It's so easy, and anybody can do it. You will probably get discouraged, as most do, if you start with multivariate testing, learning about different compressions and algorithms, etc. Just stick with A/B testing and do it consistently.

16. Become a person of extreme consistency. You win at this game by doing it every day. Don't stop. Go, go, go, go, go. You're looking for longevity in the game. When you do something and it works, the next thing you have to ask yourself is if you can outsource the task and scale it. If you can, write up a procedure or record a video so you can train someone to do it. But most people will work really hard for 2 to 3 weeks and get burned out. Don't let this be you. It's all about consistency, day in and day out.

17. Understand that making money online is a learned skill, nobody is born with it. I know people who are stumbling and fumbling all over the place, bringing in a few million bucks online. Frankly, they are not that great as marketers, copywriters, or tech people. They just execute on the basics, day-in and day-out, and work hard.

18. Pick an Internet business model you're comfortable with and do it. Don't try to be a "guru" if you're an introvert. Don't create your own products if what you really want to be an affiliate. Don't worry about what other people say is the best model. There is no "best" model. The best model is the model that lines up with the type of life you want to create for yourself. I personally think one of the better models is creating your own products because you have full control of every part of the sales process.

19. Commit to execute daily on the basics. Most people are into tricks and schemes. Sure, tricks and schemes can and do work, but while you're executing the tips and tricks, never neglect the basics, and make sure to hammer on them almost daily.

20. Think of your online business as a constant work-in-progress. Understand that you're never "there." Once you think you get "there," there will be something else you want achieve and do, and it will feel like you're starting all over again. Embrace the process.

21. Commit to learn about design. It doesn't take long - read a few books, learn about typography, etc. Your design affects your conversion, which affects your bank account. Don't neglect the importance of design. You don't have to be an expert, but do try to understand it.

22. Spend more time researching your competition. You can reverse engineer your competion when it comes to selling processes, link building, etc. Spend more time on this, and you'll never go wrong.

23. Find people who have achieved what you want to achieve, and be humble enough to search them out and talk to them. Make sure they are making money outside of "coaching". If they say they are in a lot of different markets, don't believe them, make them show you a few to verify. Most coaches don't make money in real businesses, their business is coaching. I try to avoid that type of coach.

I could keep typing a lot more of these lessons learned and words of advice, but I want to keep this blog post to under 2,000 words and it's getting a bit long winded :-).

How to Become A Kindle eBook Publisher On Amazon And Stick Two Fingers Up At Stephen King

How to Become A Published Author On Amazon And Stick Two Fingers Up At Stephen King

By Keith Everett
Amazon, known as THE online Godfather of book sales has now also become one of THE most important online sources for launching the books and dreams of everyday authors. No longer do you have to be famous like Stephen King to have your words read by the masses.

As offline book sales start to dwindle, people are turning to the KINDLE and being a Kindle kinda person, I can see the potential to explode your ideas into high demand ebooks, and making money from sales using online publishing on rinse & repeat.

A Kindle is a portable eBook reader.

At first it may seem a little daunting, after all - AMAZON? surely that's the playground of only the Rich & Famous Authors, isn't it? Eh, NO - I can assure you, it is definitely NOT.

And now anyone with a few ideas, some great words to showcase & glue those ideas together - can now get their book up and running in, well - no time at all really..

Here's how..

Using POD - Print On Demand Technology, you are only going to be printing off books that are being ordered from your Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk Sales page. Hence POD companies do not charge upfront fees.

With traditional offline publishers, before a book is published, large capital sums needed to be invested in print costs to produce books to meet potential demand from the bookshops.

Although these costs were recouped from the sales of the book, the publishing houses were not always willing to take chances on new authors, as they are commercially motivated - hence many great Authors never actually got into print.

However, with online publishing - Books are NOT required to be printed pre-sale, and a whole NEW world of eBooks from relatively NEW authors can now at last be aired on the World's publishing stage..
Popular online publishers such as Lulu.com Authors Online UK & Createspace are just a few of the many POD publishers,

Be careful with your choice of POD company. If the company you choose to publish your print on demand book does not have an exclusivity clause, you will be able to use more than one publisher at a time if you want. I personally would stick with one publisher.

Also, be sure to check the terms and conditions of your contract to ensure that you retain the copyright to your ebook before you sign up with any POD company.

I would suggest you use Createspace for your POD publishing. They will allow you to retain the copyright on your ebook, they also have a direct relationship with Amazon.com and will get you listed on Amazon.com without any fees or additional work on your behalf. Once your book is set up with CreateSpace.com and approved, they will submit it to Amazon.com on your behalf.

Createspace have their own book cover creator and over 2000 images you can use for your design. You can also design your own covers and book interior, or of course, you could get them designed for you from sites such as Elance or Getafreelancer or even get a cover design from Fiverr, however they must comply with the Createspace submission requirements listed here

All in all, you could have the book up an running, published and making you money within a very short space of time. It may seem like hard work at first but with practice, the process will get easier with practice.. You will see a lot of the sale price of the book disappear in fees to both Createspace and Amazon, however it will
be worth it to get yourself published on a premium bookselling site like Amazon, and to have all the publishing and sales process taken care of.

With products like Kindle and the online reader system from Ipad, plus the huge increases in sales of eBooks seen recently - this is definitely the wave of the 2.0 future and we can now ALL publish our products and FINALLY claim our OWN plot of publishing cyberspace on AMAZON.
Somewhere, out there is a book with your name on it - just waiting for the WORLD to see it!

How I Made 68 Cents On Squidoo And You Can Too! - Diary Of A Squidnomaniac

By Teezazzle
No, really, I made 68 cents on Squidoo! And you really can too! I will teach you how. This is all the information you need to know on how to build 25 lenses and make 68 cents. This is no scam folks. I promise. You REALLY can make 68 cents on Squidoo. You can work from home doing it too!
(Update-November 2009. I earned $68.31 this month! I told you it wasn't a scam. However, it's no fly by night get rich kind of thingy either. I mean, I built over 50 more lenses since the day I built this lens. And you can't just slap these lenses together with a bunch of cut and paste either. You have to be creative and passionate about doing it to.

If you're not, you wont make 68 cents much less $68. Anyway, I'll keep ya all posted on my earnings. Thanks for all of your comments and "thumbs up" (votes)! No, really, thank you because all of your comments and votes helps my lens to grow in the rankings, which means more money! So, thanks! Happy Squidooing!).
Here is a monthly log of all my earnings - look how much you can earn..
I'm going to update this every month, so be sure to favor or lensroll me. Well, don't favor or lensroll ME, I meant the lens. See if I reach my goal of $1 by December 31, 2009.

  • Jan. 2009 ~ $0.00

  • Feb. 2009 ~ $0.00

  • Mar. 2009 ~ $0.22

  • Apr. 2009 ~ $0.46 (68 cents total...I'm on a roll!

  • May 2009 ~ What the heck! Here is my message from Squidoo. "Hey, you've got an estimated $0.22 in your Reserve Hopper*, just waiting until your account reaches your Cash Payout Threshold!" OK so I guess I'm LOSING money now. What happened to my 42 cents from April? I'm building brilliant lenses, have 5 in the top 100 in their category, but losing money? Go figure. Hey, you too can lose money......just build lenses like me!<3 days later> Another email from Squidoo. "Hey, you've got an estimated $0.46 in your Reserve Hopper*, just waiting until your account reaches your Cash Payout Threshold!"

  • Ok Squidoo, you are starting to drive me craaaaaaazy. Make up your mind! Did I make 22 cents, 42 cents, 46 cents, or 68 cents? Do I need to change the lens title to "I made 22 cents on Squidoo and you can too"? If anyone out there knows how much I've made, please let me know!! Thanks.

  • June 2009 ~ It's June and I have 84 cents in my reserve Hopper!!! Almost there!

  • July 2009 ~ I REACHED MY GOAL!!!!!!
My Squdioo earnings were $13 this month!!! Yes, DOLLARS! Not cents, but Dollars! Whoohoo!

  • August 2009 ~ Another $28!!! A total of $41.68 now!! Oh, and I've built 25 more lenses too. I'm over 50 now! Next goal...to become a big Squid!
I'm excited to see what my earnings will be for next month. It just keeps getting better and better...and so are the lenses I'm building :)
Not only did I reach my goal but after building 50 lenses I learned how to do some pretty cool stuff like turning this text red :)<
  • September 2009 ~ My earnings that Squidoo deposited in my PayPal account for Sept was $12.43. (am I going backwards?) The earnings for this month didn't really make sense to me because it seemed like my lenses were ranked even higher than the previous month.

  • October 2009 ~ $23.27! That's more like it
More good news is that my "15 Things To Do With A Pumpkin" lens was picked for LOTD (Lens Of The Day) on October 20th!...and it was blessed by 5 Squid Angels!! Whooohooo. Even better news....I made "Giant Squid" and received this letter from Squidoo......"We had hundreds of applications this round and really raised the bar in our search for excellence. And you didn't just meet it; you vaulted over it. Thanks for the wonderful work, leadership, and for believing in what you can do here. What now? Well, first, celebrate and do a happy dance." So, excuse me folks, I gotta go do my "happy dance" now. See you all next month!

  • November 2009 ~ My earnings were the highest yet!
A total payout for $68.31!!! (That's before the % was taken out for the Squidoo charities I donate to). Can you believe that I went from .68 cents to $68?! I have high hopes for next month too because next months check will be for what I earned in October...and in October my Halloween Lenses did very well in the rankings, especially my LOTD lens.

  • December 2009 ~

    This month's earnings were $111.22!!!!

  • HAPPY 2010!!

  • January 2010 ~ My earnings this month....$75.45 Whooohooo! It's amazing that 9 months ago, in April, my monthly earnings total was 46 cents and this month a whopping $75.45. Ok...off to spend my money shopping on Amazon now. After I do the happy dance of course :). See you all next month.

  • February 2010 ~ My Feb. earnings were $83.92!!!!
Check out my new happy dance...

  • March 2010 ~ $33.68
I seem to have had a dip in my earnings this month. I guess I need a few more visitors to my lenses (hint hint). Feel free to twitter this lens... or any of my other lenses :)

  • April 2010 ~ $43.82
Well, this month was a little better than last :) Ok, I've been on Squidoo long enough and I think I should be making at least $100 or more every month. I have to invest in the time to learn how some others are making $1,000.00 a month.Oh, and I earned my "angel wings"....I'm one of Squidoo's 15 Squid Angels now...or at least for the next 3 months. What an honor and treat it is to be chosen! Ok, off to fly around Squidoo and bless some lenses now.

    • May 2010 ~ $38.83
Sorry for the late update. It's just that I've been so busy flying all over Squidoo passing out Angel Blessings. All that flying, boy my arms are killing me. Ok, now for the update...After my donation to charity was subtracted, I earned $38.83. Whoohoo. I also created my 200th Squidoo lens this month! (the link is further down the lens). My 5-year goal is 1,000 lenses.

  • June 2010 ~ $96.01!!!! Whooohoooo!!
About $10 of that was taken out to donate to the charities of my choice, so I really received about $86. Not bad :)Oh, and more good news is that I entered my "Tips for Preventing Children from Being Kidnapped" lens in the Squidoo "Summer Sunshine Award" contest....and it won!!! So, not only will I receive an extra $99 next month but the charity of my choice will also receive $99, which is the Polly Klaas Foundation. Thanks Squidoo!!!
Click Here to view my winning lens.

  • July 2010 ~ Holy Cow!...biggest payout yet!! My total payout this month (which was actually for the month of May) was $148.62!!! After charity donations, the total amount deposited in my account was $133,66! Whoohoo!! Additionally, my Tips for Preventing Children from being Kidnapped lens won a Squidoo Sunshine Award...and I received the $99 prize this month in addition to my earnings. Squidoo also gave another $99 to the charity of my choice, which was the Polly Klaas Foundation. So, my combined earnings this month was $247.62! ($148.62 + $99.)

  • Also created a few more lenses and have a total of 236 lenses now! One of my favorite "NEW" lenses is 55 Things That Make My Day. I think I'll go update that lens now and add "getting paid from Squidoo" to the list :)
    Happy Squidooing!

  • August 2010 ~ $101.69 It was really a little over $114 but I have Squidoo take out a certain amount every month to donate to charity.

  • September 2010 ~ $142.68!!
Holy sheep! This was my biggest payout yet! Well, I actually made more in July but that's because I received an extra $99 for winning The Summer Sunshine award. More good news is that the more I make, the more goes to charity. Through my lenses I was able to donate another $15 this month to the charity of my choice,

  • Three of the charities I support through Squidoo are the Polly Klaas Foundation, Food For Everyone, and The Inner City Scholarship Foundation. Yay for charity! FYI...I now have 284 lenses AND have been chosen to be a SquidAngel for the second time, I've also received a bunch of blessings from other SquidAngels too.

  • October 2010 ~ $142.00! I made the same amount as last month. Am I on a roll or what? What I'm really shocked about is that I noticed in last month's update I mentioned that I had 284 lenses...but now I'm at 425!

10 Killer Marketing Secrets To Drive A SWARM of Traffic to Your YouTube Channel & Videos

Today's Guest Blogger is - Ana Hoffman

Here are some of the best YouTube video marketing secrets you can find.

#1. The more friends you have on YouTube, the more subscribers you will have. Makes sense, doesn't it?

However, choose your friends carefully (I sound like my grandmother now.)

Spend time looking for channels that are similar to yours in content and send your friend invites to their friend lists and, even better, to their subscribers list.

#2. Even if those invited friends don't end up accepting your friend request, they might at least click on your YouTube channel, and that click will count towards your channel views.

The more channel views you have, the more "page authority" or "page rank" your profile acquires.

That will increase the probability of your YouTube videos to rank higher for your chosen keywords = more YouTube video marketing traffic.

#3. Watch and comment on other people's videos. Why? The video owners are likely to click on your name to see who you are, so at the very least, you will get a channel view. If your content is interesting, they might even subscribe.

Also, my personal tactic: I like to check out people who actively leave comments on other channels - that means that they are active community participators, and that's exactly the kind of people I want as my YouTube channel subscribers.

So if you are active on my YouTube channel, I will definitely check out yours.

#4. Leave comments on other people's channels. Why? - the same reason as above. PLUS:

Your channel name in channel comments section becomes a Do-Follow link (whereas in video comments section it's a No-Follow link - if you don't know what it means, Google it; I will also make a post on it very soon). Thus, you will be getting some link juice coming to your channel, assuming of course, the channel you comment on has higher page rank than yours.

#5. Subscribe to other high-traffic channels in your niche, make comments on their channels and videos. You know why.

#6. Start posting your videos as responses to other high-trafficked videos in your niche. - Your videos don't have to be DIRECT responses to those videos, i.e. you made them specifically as a response to that particular one. Just make sure your response talks about similar topics and does not compete with theirs. Since most channel owners don't automatically approve video responses, they'd better like and agree with your video for it to be posted.

#7. One more tip on posting video responses: the more responses you post, the better likelihood that your video will come up the "Related Videos" section alongside those chosen videos.

#8. Create inbound links to your videos as well as your YouTube channel. - This is SEO 101 strategy: you do it for your website, your blog, your articles, and you need to do the same for your videos. Why?

The likelihood of your video making it to the first page of Google for your chosen keywords is far greater than that of your website. So optimize your videos and get them to rank high on Google while you are waiting for your website to get there.

#9. When you have a lot of videos and you don't want other people's productions to show up in the "Related Videos" section, leave your tags blank or chose several uncommon words as your tags for all your videos. This will give you a good chance that all your videos will come up as "related" to each other.

#10. If you only have a couple of videos uploaded, then do this: copy and paste as many tags as you can from other popular videos in your niche into your own video metadata. Doing that might get your video recommended as related to theirs.

Thank you very much for putting this site. I've been trying to create a small personal blog recently with photos and stories from my trips. I found some articles about it at the following site about sports betting online. My brother also helped a lot with wordpress and stuff. But the most inspiration came from your web-site. Hopefully I will be through with installing it soon and will be able to share some great experience with you! With the best regards David, CEO online bookmakers

How A Simple Video Product Review Can BLAST Your Affiliate Earnings Into ORBIT!

    Hi Everyone

I think it's pretty well known by now that whether you do or you don't have a product of your own to sell - Affiliate marketing can be pretty lucrative. Some marketers are making millions of dollars a year, just by affiliate marketing alone..

Top affiliate marketer Ewen Chia spent his early years trying to figure out every which way to break a million dollars a year in sales...he finally succeeded after spending 5 years of spending 4 hours a day online from 11pm - 3am whilst holding down a full time job of his own... he finally cracked the affiliate marketing code and became the World's top earning affiliate in the early 2000's. He know makes even more millions by making his own products, but the foundation of his marketing empire was made through affiliate marketing.

I will be revealing many of his killer tactics over the coming weeks and months but for now, I will be concentrating on today's top strategy... PRODUCT REVIEWS...

Think about it for a moment. You get a great long email from a marketer that tells you everything about what he had for lunch or where he is in the world, and right down the bottom of the email is a link.... for further information. This then goes straight to the product sales page and you are then persuaded to BUY... I'm not saying there is anything WRONG with this. BUT.

If you have built a SOLID relationship with your list members, of course they are going to want to know about you and what you are doing... BUT.

Suppose you don't have a BIG list, suppose you don't have CREDIBILITY - YET! how can you get people to take action on your affiliate products, how can you get people to BUY from you?

The answer lies in the Product review. Here is one I did earlier

I prefer to do a Video product review as people tend to pay MORE attention to a Video than a whole block of TEXT.

Now as you can see, I have done a short introduction with my Flip cam, then I've made a video from my free 30 day trial of Camtasia. Then I've blended the two. Now anyone can do this., and you have 30 days to learn Camtasia and to make several product reviews pretty much for FREE.

To be a product reviewer, you obviously need to buy the product first. I know people sell affiliate products all the time without buying them first but if you can afford to buy them, you can put together a nice little video giving the good (and bad) points of the product itself. This will build both CREDIBILTY toward you as you will look to be an authority. Plus people will see the product in a very different light - BARE BONES... and all.

This is a much better way of presenting the product and alleviating any fears potential customers may have. The main worries people have when they see and click on your affiliate link (especially with an information product) is:

    1) Is this a SCAM...?

    2) Is this really going to WORK for ME?

    3) Am I going to be able to do this?

These are all questions you can help answer by creating a visual product review.

    a) They know you have the product, so IT EXISTS and can't be a SCAM..

    b) They can SEE it WORKING, so can now decide if it's something that WOULD work for them..

    c) As YOU are demonstrating the product, they can then decide if they are able to do what you are doing.

By doing a relatively short, thorough & HONEST video review, people can see the product in ACTION. They can see you in ACTION - this gives YOU credibility as someone who KNOWS how the product works and they can VISUALLY make their mind up if it is right for them..

Remember those Demonstrations in stores and exhibitions where they demo the Miracle Potato Peeler live... they also SHOW the product 24/7 on a nearby TV... now suppose they just left a leaflet on the stand or gave you a link to the website.. do you think they would sell as many? Of course not..

People love TV.. Video, done well - gives you an authority status, if people can SEE you using the product and It's Working for you - more people will BUY and your affiliate sales will get BIGGER....

My tips for Better product reviews:

    1) Spend time getting to know the product

    2) Script the video so you know what to say & when

    3) Be natural.. it's not the BBC - be yourself, BRAND yourself into an ethical, believable reviewer.

    4) Always be honest, If the product is RUBBISH... don't sell it. One bad product can ruin your reputation as a marketer in one hit.

    5) Always have an opt in for near your video if possible. People will always appreciate honest reviews and will always want to know how to get more of them. Make this task easy for them by giving them somewhere to opt in to your list under the video. With products like EVP2 it is now very possible to present your video review on a page with an opt in box below.

    6) Include share buttons & Facebook comments below the video so people can share your reviews with their social network friends
    7) Share your Video product reviews with the World. Post to video sharing sites such as You Tube, Viddler etc. Post on your Facebook Fan Page, get Digg to Dig it... get the message out there.

How to Make $40 An Hour As An Article Ghost Writer

    How would you
like to earn $40 an hour working from home as an article Ghostwriter?

    What exactly is a Ghostwriter?

It's a person who writes articles or books for people who don't have the time or
inclination to do it for themselves.

Hence the person you Ghost write for, will publish the content under their own
name as if they were the original author.

How can we get involved and what's in it for us.?

If you are anything like me, you probably stumbled into article marketing, as
you felt it was the "THING TO DO" as an Internet Marketer.

Well, I still believe it is the thing to do, but it is a fairly slow way of
    producing traffic.

It is said, that within every person - is a book, just waiting to get out.

Instead of waiting for the book to come out, in the short term I would rather
    make a nice income
    Ghostwriting
    for others.

This can only enhance our early Internet Marketing careers by not only building
a reputation as a writer of some note, but by also making ourselves an in -
    demand writer of quality content.

    Now notice, I said Quality...

The better you can write, the more in demand you become, as your content will
hook the reader to explore the whole article, thus giving them a sense of value.

Once a reader experiences this value, they will look favourably upon any offer
being made within the article, thus increasing the click rate to the offer.

Becoming a Ghost writer, writing for other Internet Marketers, can SERIOUSLY
increase your income, and set you up with both a great reputation for providing
quality content, plus a much needed regular income.

    What about pricing ?

This figure will largely depend on

    a) What you see as a reasonable hourly income for yourself

    b) How FAST you can write an article

    c) What the market will pay for a GOOD article.

Now, I know you can outsource article writing to the Far East, and probably find
someone on Fiverr to construct a half decent article for $5. However, the only
way I would personally sell an article for $5, is if I sold it many times over.

Yes you can make money writing articles this way, also you can add them to a PLR
site that sells packs of articles on various HOT Niches.

    What Is PLR?

PLR - or Private Label Rights products are generally a product constructed for
other people to re-brand themselves and to sell as their own product, i.e ebooks.
PLR sites are sites that sell this content to the public and this content can be
in the form of article packs or ebooks. It may of course also be video products.
you could actually put up a PLR site yourself and do this.

Purchase PLR content or construct it yourself then sell it from your website.
Once you build a reputation for selling quality items, you will probably get
very busy as there are lots of people in the World today who want quality
content, but do not necessarily have the time do it themselves.

SO, you're NOT a dab hand at writing articles YET? At first - most people
aren't. Very few people are natural article writers. When I first started
writing articles, It would take me hours, just to write a 500 word article, now
with practice, I can write a good article in about half an hour or less.. To be
a good article writer, especially at speed, requires skill - but like all
    skills, it can be learned.

To be a top quality ghostwriter is going to take practice. Offer up your content
for free at first, by offering to be a guest blogger.

This means you look at other peoples blogs and see exactly what it is they are
writing about. Choose someone who is offering content in a similar niche to your
expertise, then offer to write an article as a quality blog post for them for
free...some will say no, some will say yes..

I'm always looking for quality articles on Making Money for my blog...

If your article is good, people will comment on it, thus bringing extra traffic
& interest to that blog. Once you have built up a bit of a reputation, approach
    one or two,

up and coming marketers to write for. Once they have published some of your
articles, you can then feel confident enough about promoting your service to
some higher profile marketers - in exchange for dollars of course... does this
    make sense?

Once your business grows, you can charge more than $40 an hour to write content
for people. Some people who operate in a similar way to this have more than
    doubled this figure..

    How to Make
$40 An Hour As An Article Ghost Writer

The Big Internet Marketing LIE.. What Is It?

I appreciate that there may be a few people Hacked off with me for writing this article. However I don't write copy to please EVERYONE.. I write to help people see more clearly in this WONDERFUL online Money Making Junkyard of ours..

SO, what would you do tomorrow, if you woke up, turned your computer on and found that your entire business had been HIJACKED?

No, I'm not talking about some deadly VIRUS wiping out your hard drive... I'm talking about relying on marketing strategies that are sometimes masquerading as an actual business model...

    In fact, I'm talking about:

    1. Facebook Advertising
    2. Adsense blog/websites
    3. Twitter Marketing
    4. Google PPC
    5. Google SEO ranking
    6. CPA (cost-per-action)
    7. Youtube Marketing

You see, the big Internet Marketing LIE is, - that if you somehow get involved in the NEXT Big launch, the NEXT big hyped up Facebook product, the NEXT big Google Amazing APP..... you are somehow BUILDING your Internet Marketing Business, and moving it forward.... but ARE YOU?

Let's rewind for a second here..

Surely, the most reliable & long term profitable Internet Marketing business model would be:

    1) Build A Massive List

    2) Build A Membership Site

    3) Make your own products and get an army of Affiliates to sell them

    NO?

I wonder, how many people are actually moving towards achieving this...

What would happen if Facebook closed your account tomorrow?, what would happen if Google changed their Algorithm thingies and your websites, BIT the DUST... what would happen if Youtube just plain old didn't like you any more and DELETED your account?... Can you see where I'm going with this?

I think we can all become VICTIMS of the great Internet Marketing HYPE A Market... Relying on BS - Business Strategies which are really Marketing Gimmicks

Every few days, a NEW super Wonder Traffic strategy is BORN... "This will absolutely 100% Change your life FOREVER" - Like HELL it Will!

Instead of us thinking that these traffic strategies are OUR business, we should be concentrating on actually building the STRUCTURES of our business, and NOT relying on Google, Facebook, Twitter or the LATEST Wonder Launches.. etc etc to BE OUR Business..

These are just things that may or may NOT help to drive Traffic... they are not our ACTUAL business..

By building a massive list, you are building a STRONG long term business, you will have people to market to, no matter what happens to Facebook & Co.. by building a membership site you will be building a strong monthly income for today, tomorrow & the future... By penning your own information products and using an army of affiliates to market them for you... THEY are doing all the Facebook, Twitter, Google, strategies for YOU!...

Sure, we all love the Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Google thingies... but these are just means to an end. If they disappear into the night one day, on the COAT TAILS of the latest Wonder Launch... it shouldn't be the END of YOU & your business!

Food for thought - or just plain SOUR Grapes?.... What do you think?

How To Make $1000 In 14 Days

Here is a realistic way of making $1000 in 14 days...

This is not about having a large budget or begging JV partners to promote you, you won't need thousands of visitors every day to your website or spend hour upon hour creating an info product. It won't take months to learn how to do this and you won't need hundreds of dollars in investment to get started.

Firstly, with this method, you do not need to spend hour upon hour researching new Niches... I know that there is a lot of conflicting information out there. One guru will tell you to research profitable Niches whilst another Guru will tell you to simply "Go where the money is". Now there is an argument here for both of these cases but with this method, all of the Niche research is done for you.

Your valuable time will be spent on creating the product, and promoting it. You will not need to spend hours on finding profitable Niches.

    First, lets go to plrminimart.com

This is a place where all the Niche research has been done for you.The owners of this site are experienced Internet Marketers, and have spent hours on deciding which niches are profitable and which are not. They sell a lot or PLR content both in the form of eBooks & articles.

This will save us days of research.

On the PLR Mini Mart site, click on eBooks, reports & longer PLR Article Packs, here you will see around 40 Niches. Just pick one of these Niches to start with, and
    purchase a pack.

A pack will cost you between $10 & $25, depending on how many articles are in the ebook or pack. It should work out at about a $1 an article Here we are going to make a video product from this pack of articles.
Lets say you choose the Wedding Planner pack. This costs $20 and has 20 chapters we can use. We can turn each chapter into a short video or we can do 4 or 5 longer videos and charge anywhere from $27 to $47. Wouldn't you pay $47 to ensure your wedding day went smoothly?

The next step is to build a list. Now I know what you are going to say to me, that is going to take time and it needs to be huge.

Let me just answer that question right now, you can build a list fairly quickly if you do it the right way, and the originator of this system has made over $9000 in 6 months doing just this, with only 700 people. You can get your first $1000 with a list of 200-300 people.

Now, here is what you do. You take one article from your ebook or article pack and you give it away as a free report, in exchange for the persons name & email address.

You can even turn the article into a video, as I have spoken about before in previous articles published on Keith's Money Making Tips - Traffic Loops are great ways to get prospects to your website or squeeze page fairly quickly.

If you don't already have a Squeeze page to do this, you can easily find plenty of squeeze page template packs online for $5, or even free. You will need a $10 domain name and some hosting. Hostgator is good for hosting

You will also need an Autoresponder, this should cost you about $1 for a 30 day trial and $19.95 per month.

So far, we have spent less than $50

Now from this list of PLR Articles, we are going to make some txt only videos to promote our squeeze page.

Just go to ArticleVideoRobot. This clever online video making software will turn your articles into videos, with voice overs & pictures. You can even get a 14 day free trial.

The software will also distribute your videos to video sharing sites for you
By getting enough videos out there via ArticleVideo Robot and using our traffic techniques from our previous articles, you should be able to generate 200-300 sign ups fairly quickly to your squeeze page.

If you are selling the info product for $47, you will need 21 sales to get $1000, if you charge $27, you will need 37 sales. Either way, this business has only cost around $50 so far to set up, for more details of this system.
