Kelley Armstrong
Kelley Armstrong published her first novel in 2001 and has since created an entire series in the genre of paranormal suspense. Her works include the Women of the Otherworld series, and her new crime drama novels, the Nadia Stafford series. She is a fabulous author similar to the works of Laurell K Hamilton, but she has her own unique take on the paranormal. Also, while labeled as erotic content, Kelley's works are a far cry from the romantic scenes in Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake and Merry Gentry novels.

My Introduction to Kelley Armstrong
As a fan of Laurell K Hamilton, I needed something to read while waiting for the next Anita Blake novel to be published. Browsing the shelves at my local library, I came across a title that caught my attention. It was Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, and it was the first installment in the The Women Of The Otherworld series.After reading the synopsis - a female werewolf trying to come to terms with her curse - I was intrigued and I took the book home. I fell in love with Bitten and had to get my hands on the rest of the series. On my next trip to the library, I checked out all of the Otherworld novels that were available and reserved the ones that were not. After a couple of weeks, I had read the entire series, and Kelley Armstrong had gained a fan for life.
Kelley Armstrong - At a Glance
Kelley Armstrong (born 1968)Bio for school projects is a Canadian author, primarily of fantasy works.
She has published eight fantasy novels to date, all set in the Women of the Otherworld series. Armstrong has confirmed contracts with her American, British and Canadian publishers for novels seven through ten in this series. The seventh novel in this series was published April 1, 2007. She has also written several serial novellas and short stories for the Otherworld series, which are available free from her website.
Armstrong's first crime novel was released in July 2007.
Kelley Armstrong - A Brief Bio
Kelley Armstrong is married with three children; the family lives in rural Ontario. She was born in 1968, the oldest of four siblings in a "typical middle class family" in England. After graduating with a degree in psychology, Armstrong then switched to studying computer programming at Fanshawe College so she would have time to write. Her first novel Bitten was sold in 1999, and it was released in 2001. Following her first success she has written a total of six novels and a number of novellas in the Women of the Otherworld series, and her first crime novel, Exit Strategy, was released July 2007. Armstrong has been a full-time writer and parent since 2002.Her novel No Humans Involved was a New York Times bestseller in the hardback fiction category on May 20, 2007.

Women of the Otherworld
Women of the Otherworld is the name of a fantasy series by Canadian author Kelley Armstrong.
The books feature werewolves, witches, necromancers, and vampires struggling to fit as "normal" in today's world. The series also includes novellas and short stories, published online (and one in an anthology).

Women of the Otherworld Series including Online Novellas
Kelley Armstrong has written a series of short stories that go along with the Otherworld novels. They are available for your reading pleasure on Kelly's website. I have listed them here along with the novels (novels are in bold) in the suggested reading order. The online novellas are not crucial to the series, but they do answer some questions that the novels do not and explain past events in the story narrated by each of the different characters.The short stories listed with an * are no longer available online. These novellas are soon to be available in print as part of an upcoming "Men of the Otherworld" collection. Darkest Powers Series
Young Adult Readers
Kelley's newest series to date is her Darkest Powers series. These books are designed for young adult readers. This series will run parallel to the Otherworld series, but will not intersect the story.The first book in the Darkest Powers series will be The Summoning and is due to be released in July of 2008.

"Darkest Powers is a young adult urban fantasy trilogy. It's set in the same universe as my Otherworld series, but with entirely new characters.
