Kellie Pickler

Kellie Pickler's life story is an inspiring rags to riches story. Kelly was born in Albemarle, North Carolina. At just 3 months old, Kellie's mom left her and her father. Kellie's father, Clyde Pickler, had a drug and alcohol problem her whole life. Needless to say this was a tough way to grow up.

In 2003, Kellie was given a shot to break away from her tough childhood. When American Idol selected her to go to Hollywood, Kellie made the most of her chance and began the riches part of the rags to riches story.
