    September 2007 - October 2008

    Worked from home doing marketing and promotional work for Flugpo.com. Involved promoting Flugpo within various online communities and social bookmarking sites. Created and maintained a blog for Flugpo. Focused on search engine optimization and new member sign-ups. Maintained a sense of community on the site and explored new ways for site promotion.
  • Real Estate Settlement Processor - Village Settlements, Inc., Maryland
    September 1999 - June 2006

    Managed and processed assigned settlement case load for high volume settlement processing company which included coordination between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, mortgage companies and other involved parties. Served as settlement liaison between buyers, sellers, lenders and real estate agents, responded to inquiries, and worked directly with settlement attorneys to resolve issues. Prepared title commitments, deeds, settlement sheets, and miscellaneous settlement documents.
  • Real Estate Settlement Processor - Main Street Settlements, Maryland
    February 1996 - September 1999

    Responsible for high volume settlement processing which included careful planning and coordination between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and mortgage companies. Accurately relayed and collected financial information in preparation for settlements. Prepared title commitments, deeds, settlement sheets and miscellaneous settlement documents. Opened cases and performed post settlement processing. Handled heavy volume of customer phone calls and e-mails.
  • Real Estate Settlement Processor - Paramount Settlements, Maryland
    January 1993 - February 1996

    Started out as a post settlement processor, responsible for preparing documents to send to the courthouse and preparing packages to send to mortgage companies and customers. Gained knowledge and experience as a pre-settlement processor by performing responsibilities such as preparation of title commitments, deeds, settlement sheets and miscellaneous settlement documents.

Promotional Work For Flugpo.com 

  • Created and maintained a blog called "Blogging About Flugpo". This was designed to draw people to the site.
  • I wrote Flugpo's FAQ page.
  • Participated in and maintained a sense of community.
