I love dragon boats, dragon boat paddlers, and my incredibly beautiful Vancouver Island home.
Living on central Vancouver Island has also provided me with many wonderful opportunities to extensively photograph my home town of Nanaimo as well as Island scenes in general. There's no lack of beautiful scenery, interesting activities or fascinating people!

I'm a nice guy. I enjoy coaching, I enjoy walking around Buttertubs Marsh, and I enjoy baking with exotic sourdough cultures.
I also smoke a mean turkey, so if you hear "Bar-B-Q", y'all come right on down!
I enjoy Island life immensely, and love sharing it with you.

West Coast Dragonboat Festival

A MARS Water Bomber appears to float in the ether as thick morning fog begins to clear just in time for the Dragonboat races.
Dragonboat racing is one of the most popular participation sports on the planet, and the fellowship it creates is quite amazing.
That's me - the big guy on the starboard side, wearing a watch cap.
