What are Kenner Blythe dolls?
Blythe was released in 1972 by Kenner Toys. Her distinguishing features are her overly-large head and her eye mechanism in which her eye colour can be changed by means of a pull-string. She was, at the time, not a popular item and the line was discontinued in 1973.
Dolls were available in three hair colours (blonde, brunette, redhead). There were also twelve outfits, four wildly-coloured wigs (strawberry, blueberry, lemon, and lime) with matching sunglasses, and a wardrobe case.

AiAi Chan
Blythe was also released in Japan at this time under the name "AiAi Chan" by Tomy. Her stock outfits and packaging were different from the US versions, and there are also some slight design differences in the dolls.
