Kente Scarves: Beauty with Meaning
Kente scarves are not just beautiful items to look at. Kente cloth holds symbolic significance. Each design has a meaning, representing cultural events, notable people or honorable qualites (for example, "Honesty"). Do not be fooled by prints. True Kente cloth is tediously constructed, composed of several 3-4" strips that are then sewn together. Kente scarves are generally about 3 feet long and can be worn on the head as a headwrap.
