Kerala is the land of backwaters, beaches and hill stations. Millions visit Kerala to enjoy the incredibly outstanding natural beauty. It is known as one of paradise of travelers because of its astonishing greenery and freshness it offers on every visit. Words are really incapable of conveying the exotic charm of Kerala. Kerala is situated in the Malabar Coast of southwestern India. This coastal territory is cradled between Western Ghats and Arabian Sea. Kovalam

Kovalam is a pristine beach that is prominently included in Kerala tour packages. Kovalam is situated in the southern part of Kerala. It is formed by three crescent shaped beaches. The tourism potential of Kovalam was discovered by Travancore Kings and is one of the oldest known tourist spots of India. Kovalam shot into limelight with the swarming of hippies to Kovalam in the ninety seventies. The beaches are inviting for sunbathing. Sunbathing on the Kovalam beaches is an important attraction of Kerala tourism. The seas are not too deep and safe for swimming. There are attractive coral reefs present near the shore and one can go snorkeling for an underwater view.

Thekkady

Thekkady is another prime destination nestled in Western Ghats. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Thekkady. The sanctuary is surrounded by an artificial lake formed because of Mulla Periyar dam. You can savor the surroundings and wildlife by having a boat ride in the lake.
