Alright...Kettlebell exercise...kicks ass! Period!

Seriously, there's none of the fluff and buff of disco bodybuilding gyms -- kettlebell exercise consists of two things: You and the Iron.  No machines, pulleys, cables, and all that other bullshit.  Not even any benches or bars or even weight plates (which now days they "plastic coat"!? arghhh!)  Kettlebells are bad ass in their simplicity and history...and kettlebell exercise is bad ass in its simplicity and effectiveness. Essentially with kettlebell exercise you are getting the "worst of both worlds" which for pain and gainers, is a good thing!  Kettlebell exercise not only taxes the muscle but taxes also your cardio ability or your muscular endurance.  Kettlebell exercise is the real deal.  Alot of MMA/ulitmate fighting fighters are learning quick the benefits of kettlebell exercise as more and more are utilizing kettlebell exercise in their training to increase explosive power, hardcore strength, and brutal muscular endurance.

Kettlebell Exercises - The Basics

BY CHESS MCDOOGLE

Kettlebell training is incredible for developing functional strength and just becoming an all around tougher, stronger, and better physically fit individual. There are some basic kettlebell exercises you should get started with which will provide an excellent base for your strength training.

1. The Swing.

I like to start out with the "2 arm swing". You take one kettlebell and grip it with both hands in front of you. With your legs spread and head up, you swing the kettlebell between your legs so it goes behind your rear end, then thrusting your thighs forward you swing the bell in front of you so that it's just about chin level or so, and then repeat.

2. The Alternating Swing.

From here you can do one arm swings in the same manner, except your free arm should be extended out on the side so as to balance out your body during the motion. Do repeated repetitions with the same arm, then switch to the other arm. After single arms, you can do alternating one arm swings. When the kettlebell reaches your chin level, grab the handle with your other hand (so momentarily both hands are grabbing the bell) and then proceed with the movement and continue to alternate each time.

2. The Clean.

Lower the kettlebell while pushing your hips back, moving it down and back similar to the swing, your hamstrings and glutes should feel the load. Next, snap hips forward while squeezing your glutes, cleaning the bell all the way up, so your elbow becomes tucked in, and the bell is at your chest with your thumb touching the chest.

Wrestling Workout and Kettlebells

BY CHESS MCDOOGLE

A wrestling workout with kettlebells can have huge benefits. Kettlebells can compliment or even serve as a core aspect of a wrestling workout. Here's the benefits you will gain as a wrestler training with kettlebells.

1. Explosiveness and Power.

Kettlebells can greatly increase your explosiveness and this is key in wrestling. Kettlebell squats, clean and press, and especially combining the clean-squat-press as one motion will improve explosiveness. Working with kettlebells requires maximum effort as well as concentration and balance. All this translates over to more power. Many wrestlers have simply stated that they feel much more powerful wrestling after they had implemented kettle bell training into their workouts.

2. Conditioning.

Conditioning is a huge aspect of wrestling, and kettlebells can take your conditioning to another level. Doing a form of kettlbell circuits or kettlebell circuit training is incredibly taxing and exhaustive to the system. Exactly what you need in order to wrestle successfully and take home the win. The great thing about doing circuits with kettlebells is that you work your whole body. Every muscle gets its fair share of exhaustiveness and this translates over to a solid, overall well conditioned machine.

3. Strength.

Here's a huge benefit to a wrestling workout and kettlebells. Strength is an awesome asset to have as a wrestler. Using kettlebells can drastically improve your strength. Many powerlifters have incorporated kettlebell training into their workout, and their numbers have drastically increased. So as a wrestler, you can drastically increase your own strength levels and take that newly acquired strength straight to work on the mat.

I want to show you two things: One is a wrestler workout and the other is a kettlebell workout. Now, you can sign up for one of these, and you will automatically have access to the other. That is, if you sign up for the wrestler workouts, you will have access to the kettlebell training workouts.

So just sign up for one of them, and you'll get access to the other as well.
