Kevin Skinner's Fans Pictures: St Jude Charity

Kevin's first auditioned for AGT was in Paducah, KY, and Chicago. Then, he took a flight from Nashville to Los Angeles, and he met America's Got Talent judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff. He said that they were, "the nicest folks you'd ever want to meet." Each week, Kevin wondered if he would get to stay in the competition.

The votes were counted and Kevin was one of the finalists, which meant he was on his way to Las Vegas for performances next. Coming from the small town of Mayfield, the bright lights of Las Vegas were amazing to see. Kevin stayed at a nice hotel, and he was the only person with a Kentucky drawl and big grin on his face.

Kevin and Grandma (Lee) Kelly from Florida, became fast friends, visited a lot together while eating meals at the Palms Casino and Resort's buffet. That was Kevin Skinner's way of life until he was named the TV show's winner. - "Fans kept voting, not only from Mayfield and around Kentucky, but from all across the United States. Even folks from other countries liked me", said Kevin.

After the win in Vegas, Kevin returned to L.A., where he performed at several venues, and made appearances on TV shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show and really took a liking to Ellen. Kevin also performed on The Tonight Show, and went to New York City to appear on TV and enjoyed Regis Philbin's hospitality during his visit on Live With Regis and Kelly.

Kevin headlines in Las Vegas, and many other gigs around the country. People who know Kevin personally, say that fame has not gone to his head. Kevin is a real "down to earth" kind of guy.

He likes to sit on the porch at night and count the stars. It was easy to see that the judges and audience loved Kevin when he was on America's Got Talent. Kevin has such a sweetness about him that just shines. Kevin interacted with the judges and everyone in the room with genuine humility. He truly is a performer and was being funny at times. I loved his chicken catcher story, that was hilarious. He actually was a chicken catcher, but injured his back doing it and had to quite.

Willie Nelson signed Kevin's guitar. Kevin went to a concert of Willie's while in Vagas, and got to meet Willie back stage after the concert.

Abby is 6 years old and she is being treated for a Wilm's Tumor of the kidney and lungs at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Abby Mott was diagnosed on October 12,2010. Kevin performed for Abby's Benefit Concert on November 20th at 6:00 p.m.

The show was opened by Kevin, who warmed up the crowd with a mix of his tunes and of Lynard Skynard and Garth Brooks. George Jones filled up Horseshoe Casino's outdoor venue. Loyal fans had the opportunity to see a Legend of country music perform. Jones at 79, delighted his fans with a long list of hits, even though his voice has slipped a little. His songs of drinking and heartbreak still have their impact from the famous man. (Haven't found a music video yet.)

Kevin Skinner and the band performed from 9 to 10 p.m. for a free concert on Sat. Aug. 7th at Fancy Farm Picnic (130th), in Kentucky. There were around 15,000 to 20,000 people that come to the picnic. Fancy Farm is 10 miles west of Mayfield in Graves County. There are only 3 stop signs in Fancy Farm, that should tell you how big the town is. It is in the Guinness Book of Records.

Kevin has a heart of gold, and I am so proud of the good deeds he does to help children at St. Jude's. I will never regret becoming a fan of his, because he isn't going to change who he is.

You know how it is when you become a fan of someone, we think of someone as bigger than life in a way. Well, Kevin is a down to earth kind of guy, who has a special place in the our hearts.

Kevin started the concert with just him and his guitar for an hour, and he was on... Then he performed with JMM. I heard that security was was very tight, and that the concert was a great delight for all of his fans who attended.

Kevin was asked if he has some kind of a process for writing songs, he said, "Not at all. My best songs come when I' m least expecting it. They just happen, "He was grinning and snapping his fingers.

This man has sent love into my soul each time I listen to him sing. His compassion for the children at St. Jude Hospital has warmed my heart. I laugh at myself when I think how excited I got when you won... Talk about whooping and hollering... There's something I've wanted to say to you Kevin ever since I heard you do that song If Tomorrow Never Comes... I don't think there is ever enough love to make it all right... but the love that we give each other in this life sure helps when a loved one is taken... There was a viewing at the Graves County High School gym of AGT on September 1st with about 2000 fans rooting for Kevin. Admission was free with a canned food item going to Needline. T-shirts, signs and concessions were sold with all proceeds going to St Jude's Children Hospital as Kevin requested. Kevin later performed a the send off concert the night before he left for Las Vegas as the winner of AGT.

According to his Mom, Kevin was able to memorize whole songs at the age of 3!

Metropolis is the home of Superman and has a giant statue of him. The statue is located in front of the town courthouse on a main street in Metropolis.

During the AGT Season Four, Kevin felt that fans liked what Grandma Lee was doing in her stand-up acts. He said that he had a pretty strong feeling that Grndma Lee was going to have a long successful career. ~ "And you know, it kind of shocked me that, you know, that it turned out the way it did." ... Kevin said.
