There comes a time in the life of every squid...

...when you have enough lenses that they need to be organised into some kind of structure, instead of one big amorphous mess. So, I'm about to impose some structure on this 'ere mess...

Picture: cutting one of the cakes at my 50th birthday party. My friends brought not just one, but two, cakes to the party, so there was more than enough. Way more. Several months' supply, in fact!

Kitchen Remodeling Lenses

Having renovated several kitchens (and with another one on the list for when I've finished the bathroom) I find kitchen design very interesting. I also enjoy watching the passing parade of fads and fashions, and the people who think they will last forever.

Bathroom Remodeling Lenses

These lenses grew out of a recent bathroom remodeling project which involved replacing everything except the toilet, right down to the studs. Here's a tip: do not take on a job like this as your first plumbing project!

General Gardening lenses

Gardening is one of my longest-term interests. I grew up with a mother who was a keen gardener - she gardened our yard, our neighbour's backyard, and an allotment (community garden plot) at various times, with varying amounts of help from me and my sister. I've gardened in backyards small and large, balconies, decks, patios, and indoors, including a stint as a small scale market gardener selling vegetables and plants at the local farmers market. My current garden project, along with my partner, is to turn our whole 40' x 215' lot into productive gardens. Eventually there will be no more grass, bwahahaha!

Home Business Lenses

I've been self employed since 1984, in a variety of businesses including technical writing, market gardening, crafts, custom programming, and building websites. These lenses were born of my frustration at seeing so much s$%t out there lying in wait to trap people who just want to start a home business, not make a killing with forex, or spend all their cash on eBooks full of rehashed garbage.

Toy Lenses

I'm a long time LEGO addict, hence the LEGO lens, but also a parent and still a child at heart. So I love toys :) This all started with the lens I built to help people find lost LEGO building instructions. I branched out from there into other cool toys (I wish I was young enough to have one of those Razor scooters!) and I'll probably keep adding more.
