Having a search engine friendly site is the most important of the key success factors for hotel web sites, because it ensures that the site will be found in the net.

Well, it is not that hard as you may think.

Search engines qualify the relevance or "value" of the sites as the stars classification system for hotels with a Page Rank (PR).

You can achieve this if you choose your keywords related to the name of the geographical region you are in instead of your hotel's.

Your site will have more opportunities to be found, as it is more common that a person would type "hotels in someplace" rather than your name in the search engine's box...
...unless you have a well known branded name, in which case you'll probably won't be reading this lens.

Make it easy for your customers to contact you

Although most of the people look for hotels and room availability online, a huge percentage prefers to do the booking by phone.

Place your contact info very clearly in your site.

Remember to write your complete telephone numbers for people calling from outside your country.

It is a good idea to state which your time zone is and use a time zone converter to make it easy for your customers to readily tell the time from anywhere in the world.

You can make photo galleries with pictures of the rooms and other facilities. Remember to use the alt text properly to achieve better Page Rank.
