When I purchased my iPad, I needed a better keyboard (better than the screen keys) for typing. I'm a touch typist and I need the feel of the keys. I also didn't want to carry around a separate keyboard. This product meets my needs.

First, the case is well made. It is rugged and provides excellent protection for my iPad.

Second, the keyboard connected easily and the battery life is outstanding. I've been using it off and on for about two weeks without having to recharge it.

As an added bonus, I was able to connect my iPhone 4 via Bluetooth.

Yes, the keyboard is a little small. However, a larger keyboard would make the total size of the case larger than I would like.

If you do a lot of typing on your iPad, then this is the case for you. The setup was simple and although it's not a full size keyboard, it was pretty easy to type and it's responsive. The material of the keyboard and the PU leather protective case feels and looks good. It even comes with a free USB A/C charger. It's a great value for the money. I just saw the Brookstone catalog selling the exact same thing for $99.95 (page 6).

I am writing this review using my Menotek keyboard, which is attached to my wifi Ipad via it's bluetooth capacity! It outdid my expectations to say the least! I don't even need wifi around to use my keyboard-- once I've linked the keyboard (go to settings, then bluetooth, then enter the # that pops up on the iPad screen. note: you have to do this each time you use the keyboard, but it doesn't take long) it can be used anywhere. meetings. conferences. seminars. I know. I used it during a week-long conference where the power points were extensive and moving fast. With this keyboard, I kept up with all the notes and then some! I should mention that I had JUST gotten the keyboard, yet was able to use it immediately without extra practice. It DOESN'T take much to get used to it. :) I simply rested iPad and keyboard on a book I'd brought along. :)

This keyboard is the first flexible one I have owned. the fact that it was said to work great with the Ipad (a true claim), has raised keys, is waterproof, bluetooth AND rechargeable helped me decide to buy it. But mainly I went by the reviews.... that is why I'm writing this one... so YOU don't have to worry/search as long as I did.

Here are some of my original questions answered:
- YES it works with wifi (even wifi only) iPads.
- BELIEVE the almost 5 star rating (other flexible keyboards are lucky to get three stars)
- YES, the keyboard REALLY is extremely flexible and DOES roll up pretty tiny. (DON'T keep it in a ziplock like I did...I don't think it is very good for it not to "breath"...besides, I've since had reason to need more protection for it than a simple baggie (on a plane flight I stuffed the keyboard into my carry-on and ended up forgetting its presence and damaging it later, fitting more stuff on top of it :( ... Shows I love this product, I guess, because, I forked out the dough for a new one ;). )
- YES, it has a number pad. It's enough for me -and I work in an office! (the #'s double up with the main keyboard. just turn on # lock)
- I LIKE the mini sized keyboard (the KEYS aren't really mini...it just doesn't have an additional number pad attached to the side.
- product shipped to me fairly fast from this company.
- the keyboard looks great with the ipad, and is size appropriate :)
- keyboard battery life lasts at LEAST all day with full use (I haven't tested longer than that before charging it)
- keyboard WORKS with my iphone 3Gs, after the iphone4 update. yay!
- I CAN rest my fingers on these keys since they are raised, WITHOUT it typing uncontrollably. a BIG plus!

note: you will need a lap desk, large book, or other to use the keyboard. not a problem for me.

Also, Apple bluetooth keyboard = $70. This bluetooth easy-travel keyboard? = $30! yeah. That's a no brainer. :) I'm a happy typer now! :D

I couldn't be happier with this keyboard. While the keys are plastic, the base that holds them is metal and solid. It is balanced well so it holds up my ipad (which is made heavier by being in an otterbox defender case.)

And speaking of cases, I think the complaint that the ipad doesn't fit the keyboard dock while in a case is a case design flaw, not a keyboard dock flaw, and I highly recommend the otterbox defender case which has a removable panel on it so the i pad can fit in a dock. It is also the sturdiest case I have ever seen.

The keyboard dock is super easy to use. Just dock your ipad and now, instead of the touch keyboard screen appearing when you need to type, the screen stays the same and you type with the keyboard on the dock. It's like having a mini laptop whenever you need it.

When the dock was coming in the mail, I kept thinking, "did I really need that? the ipad screen is pretty easy to type with . . ." Now I am thrilled I got it, for word processing etc.

I recommend this case. It is worth every penny and well thought out and made. It is designed so the owner never has to take the ipad out of the case with removable panels for docks and access to every port and button. Otterbox Defender Case for Ipad .

i just purchased an iPad not too long ago, and immediately ordered one of these to go with it. pairs awesomely in under a minute. has a working caps lock feature and everything, and tab works as well. it also works flawlessly with auto correct. is it as accurate as a hard keyboard and soft case , but you can still move along at a pretty dang good pace whilst touch typing. i recommend buying anyone of the cases that also doubles as a stand,, that combined with this keyboard turns the ipad into a writing machine.
