Keyboard for Computer

The keyboard for computer is one of the easiest things to replace on your desktop computer.
Keyboards shipped with most computers are quite basic and manufacturers follow the "one model for all" approach.
There are many much more feature rich keyboards available as an after market item. Installation is usually a case of unplugging the old one and swapping in the new one and depending on the features of your new keyboard, possibly installing some software on a CD that comes with the keyboard.

An example of some of the different features include:
- a cordless or wireless computer keyboard
- lighted keyboards with illuminated keys for use in low light conditions
- larger print keyboards for the sight impaired
- left handed keyboard with the numeric keypad on the left
- mini keyboards to save space
- an ergonomic keyboard for more comfortable use
- children's keyboard

There are keyboards which look more like remote controls for home theatre PCs or HTPCs.
Laptops are not left out here. Some users prefer attaching a full sized keyboard to their laptop for use in the office or at home
