Can anybody make keyword suggestions that work?

As I was putting my website together I heard about all kinds of keyword suggestion ideas that you can use to get traffic to a website. I heard thinks like bolding your keywords to make them stand out. Other people said bolding has no effect on search results. I do it anyway just to be safe. Then I heard that you should use long tailed keywords as part of you suggestion. I tried that too but is a little tricky trying to work a long keyword phrase in a sentence. I also got a suggestion that said you should use your keyword are least three times to let the search engine know that you are writing about that topic. I followed that suggestion as well.

Then I heard a keyword suggestion about domain names. They said if you make just keyword your doamin name you will get better placement. I know it can work on MSN if it is done right but not all the time. Sometimes I see websites that are number one with the keyword as the domain name and sometimes in is not. I saw www.allproman.com number 1 for the keyword "free niche articles" on Yahoo and their was other sites that had the keywords in it that was not. I check back months later and it was gone. So who knows what is the best keyword suggestion.

But do all these keyword suggestions really work anyway? I always thought that it was a combination unique content and backlinks that move you up the rankings. Sure it matters what keyword you use and all but keywords alone can't put you one page one or can it. I am always looking for the latest keyword suggestions out their. We are going to need the when Google chances it search parameters. It could be back to the drawing board again.

Long tail Keyword Suggestions vs Short Keyword Suggestions

Which one will bring you more traffic to your site.

As you know you have the option of selecting long tail keyword phrased or short keywords to optimize your site with. But which one will bring you traffic? Well maby that should not be your first question. Think of which one will bring you traffic first.

You have to understand that short phrase keywords are hard to conquer. They get more traffic but they are harder to rank well for. Long tail keywords get less traffic but is easier to get to page one. That is where you should start first. Sometimes all you need is a few good backlinks with your long tail keyword and you could end up on page one in no time. Sure the traffic may not crash your site but you will get traffic. Get a couple of long tail keywords ranked well first then tackle the shorter keywords later. But make sure that shorter keyword is tailored to what that page is.

Don't make the mistake of optimizing for football If you are selling football equipment. Even if you somehow manager to get on page one with this term your traffic will not be targeted. There is no telling what that person is looking for. You want your keywords to match exactly what you are promoting. That way when your site comes up it will be just what they were looking for. You will have a better chance to get that customer to buy your products or signup for your service.

Long tailed keywords phrases will normally be in a form of a question. If your site answers that question then you could end up getting a high return on investment for a small amount of traffic. That is much better than getting tons of traffic and still no conversions. So why wait for the big traffic to come in that may never come when you can get easy to rank long tail keywords that will bring visitors.

So no matter what you do you need to use them both to gain traffic. This is always best. But I would avoid going after that one work keyword like vacation, sports, business and so on. That is simply too hard and not very targeted either. You short keywords should read more like vacation deals in Hawaii, sports equipment bags, or business cards online, you know something like that. Then your long tail keywords would be more like. where to get vacation deals in Hawaii, where to get the best sports equipment bags, and who creates the best business cards online. You may not want to use these examples but I thing you get the idea. Just do a keyword search first to see long tail keyword phrases that get a least some traffic.

In conclusion long tail keyword suggestions bring in traffic faster while short term keyword suggestion brings more traffic but only if you can get to page one.

I want to get the word out about...

One day I did something I never tried before. While I was surfing the web I was curious about what the "cached" was that was under every website result. So I clicked it to see what would happened. It shows you how Google and other search engines find the keywords you search for. Every word that I typed in the search engine was highlighted. It do not matter whether or not the keyword was together or found separate. If the words you search for was on that page it got lit up with different colors for each word. It even highlighted the word that was plural or singular. It didn't matter if you were looking for dog or dogs the search engine would light up both.

That made me think. Was all those keyword suggestions that I was given right or wrong. Google had the keyword lit up and it did not matter if the word was bolded or not. It didn't seem to make ant difference. If the word was part of a link it was lit up too. Does the search engine count how many times you use a keyword and move you up based on that? If so then how much content do you need before the search engine thinks you are spamming?

It also lets you know when the search engine crawled your website last. I had wondered way my site had went down on Yahoo when I was number one one page one of one of my keywords. So I hit the cached under my website to see when Yahoo crawled. I was shocked to find out that Yahoo was still showing my old website design. I had chanced the design over a month ago but Yahoo still show the old design. I click the link that lets you go the the regular page and the new design came up then. Was I getting some type of duplicate content penalty because Yahoo hadn't reindex the page yet? Maybe when Yahoo crawls it again I will go back up. It doesn't really matter now because I had different keyword suggestions that I used when I redesigned my site.

So if anybody has any idea what all this means then I would sure like to hear it. Any keyword suggestions could be the one that put someone on top.

Are you optimized for too many Keywords?

Just select a very keywords for each page

When I first got started on the internet I didn't even know anything about the importances of keywords. I just simply added content and put a title and hoped for the best. Once I started search the web more I found all kinds of information about why you should use keywords that are searched for in the search engines. Once I heard that then I started redoing my content with tons of keywords related to to my topic. But I wasn't getting nowhere fast.

I think having too many keywords just confused the search engines so I got penelized for it. Plus, my content did not read all that well either.

I didn't understand the importants of using the right amount of keywords and using backlinks linking to relevant content form the keyword. Once I figured it out I then had to make more chances to my website. Once I did that I started to see a few results but still not getting the traffic I was looking for.

I kept on searching for better solutions like finding keywords that were getting lots of searches but had less pages that were fighting for it. Things got a little bit better once I did that but still way off the traffic I wanted to receive. I had to find away to get some real traffic without spending a fortune on pay-per click ads with little or no results.

I wrote articles with keyword links to my site and that seemed to give me a little traffic here and there. I was tempted to sign up for one of the site that submit your site to 500,000 directories and FFAs but after doing some searches on them I realized that word be a big mistake. The only traffic I would end up receiving would end up coming from the flood of junk email I would recieve that would overflow my email server.

Free advertising sites were not much help either sinse no one is going to go to these types of sites to buy anything only sell. People ust see your ad then contect your and tell you they like your ad now take a look at mine.

If i could only figure out the secret to getting my website ranked high on popular keywords suggestions that could bring me tons of visitors to my site everyday. But there really is no big secret. It just takes you optimizing your page for just one or two keywords and get relevant backlinks using the keywords to that page along with good content. It sounds easy enough but you have to remember that other website ahead of you have built their website long ago and they have lots of backlinks with linked keywords attached to them. That means to get on the first page you have to get not just more backlinks but keywords links from high ranking websites to help pull yours up. But at the same time looking for those keyword suggestions that get good searches but not heavily targeted.

You might be doing this by yourself so I suggest your start with your home page. Find a few good keywords that really matches the theme that page and started building links using those keywords. Don't just use the name of your site. You want the search engines to give you credit for that keyword and hopefully move you up the list. Once you get enough to get your home page on page one than start over again with your next most important page and repeat the process.

Get your keywords backlinks from all types of places. Don't just focus on getting all your links from one source. Your keyword links will look spammy if they all come from one play. You want to link your keywords from directores, articles, videos, forums, blogs, other websites and more. That keyword linking to your website from all those different place will make your site seem more important and then your website will start to move up the rankings.

I do not claim to know all about keyword suggestions but I do know that to get your site ranked high it will take some work. Sure, if you have some money to burn you can just pay for the top spot but if you do not get any conversions you will go broke fast. Once the money is then gone that traffic will be lost too. By putting in the time and effort of gaining those backlinks with the keywords you use all you spend is time writing. Plus, if you stop once you reach page one your traffic will continue to come in for a long time to come.

Do You Use Keywords On Your Images

Tell the search engine what your picture is

I started noticing something a I got more familiar with searching the web. I saw as I put my cursor over a picture on someones website a message appeared. Some Just described what the picture was about but others were keyword phrases. I though that was pretty cleaver since search engines also display image result pages when you type in certain keywords. Especially when you are looking for a picture or image of something. That means your image could show up and lead a visitor to your website.

Another advantage is that you get to place that keyword in your body without it looking spammy. By using the (alt="example") in after the image code you can plug in the ketword or phrase that you want. I know that for most of you this is not new information but this is another keyword sugestion that people use to help give them an edge. Plus, their is always a newbie who is logging on for the first time and they would like to know.

I just wonder if anybody out their is having real success with this suggestion. Does it really matter if you use this or not. I know it can't hurt put will it help you move up any on search results? I am always open to trying new things that can help or even old ideas too.

It is very easy to do so why not give it a try if you haven't all ready. You never know what keyword format could put you on page one. If you have some Ideas about keywords that haven't been mentioned then please log on an let me know. Even if you have a way to improve an old Idea.
