J.R.R. Tolkien Meets Edward Gorey...

The "Khazad-dûm Tinies" were a cartoon featured in a monthly Lord of the Rings fan newsletter, the Last Homely Herald. They were inspired by Edward Gorey's famous Gashleycrumb Tinies.

The Khazad-dûm Tinies Hit a Snag

The cartoon ran from June 2004 to November 2005. At this point I got stuck at:
O Is for Oliphaunt, Who Packs A Large Trunk
P is for Pippin, who has lots of spunk

Someone pointed out to me that "spunk" was a word with more than one meaning, and one of them was not what I intended. I attempted to fix thusly:
O is for Oliphaunt -- at least that's in the book!
P is for Pippin, a fool of a Took

But I really don't think that's as funny. So, poll time!

The Lord of the Rings: 50th Anniversary, One Vol. Edition

Am masterpiece of mythology written in the 20th century. Read it. The films may look fabulous, but Tolkien's magical prose can't be conveyed by the silver screen.
