Can Kicking Help In Increasing Your Height?

Kicking as a form of exercise is probably a foreign concept to many.

Unless you're a kickboxer or the like, practicing kicking would not seem to have any tremendous benefits, other than increasing your leg strength and flexibility a bit.

Of course, we know that repeated exercise on certain areas of the body can lead to those areas stretching and becoming longer, which in the case of legs would naturally lead to height increase.

So can you gain height through kicking?

Ultimately the answer is yes, but unlike many other height gaining routines, this one is not the most economical as far as results gained from time spent performing the routine.

First though let's look at this from a technical point of view.

By looking at people who use kicking techniques repeatedly day in and day out, we see that their legs have indeed grown as much as two inches more than they otherwise should be.

The trouble is that these results were gained after years and years of training, and it's impossible to determine how much repeated effort it would actually take to see these results.

I'm not sure anyone has a desire to kick box for two years nonstop, simply to gain one inch of height.

Not only would this training require you to do it every day, but we're also talking a very large amount of reps per day, in the range of 1000+ per leg.

It's certainly a tremendous workout, and bravo to anyone dedicated enough to accomplish it. But the face in of so many easier options for height gain, it really isn't very feasible.
If you plan on taking up kicking as a regular exercise, your first goal will be to get a good kickboxing bag.

You'll be switching between legs at a fairly consistent pace while training, to keep too much strain building in each leg.

Work 20 kicks with one leg, then switch to the other. Repeat this for 100 kicks with each leg, then take a break for a few minutes and return for 100 more later.

By no means do you need to do 1000 per day, but the more you can do the better.
If you use some form of kicking training already, there's nothing wrong with continuing to do so, and if you wish to take it up, then all the power to you.

But kicking to increase your height is probably not the best way to try adding on a couple inches.

There are many simpler and less exhaustive exercises that can be used to achieve the same goal.
