Do Your Kids Have More Toys Than Ever?

If your like most parents, most kids have more toys than they know what to do with.  When this happens space becomes a valuable commodity.  Bunk beds to the rescue.

A bunk bed and kids just seem to go together, despite the obvious space conservation, kids just love bunk beds.  Have you seen some of the themed bunk beds available for kids now?  Castles, boats, race cars, children just love them all.  There's something about getting on the top bunk as a kid, maybe it's because your whole perspective on the world is always from a few feet off the ground.  A bunk bed automatically raises that perspective.

Available for kids are futon bunk beds and loft bunk beds as well.  Futon bunk beds actually have a built in futon that can be folded down and used as a bottom bunk.  The futon can be up as a couch during the day, down as a bed for sleeping at night.  The loft bunk bed is just a normal bed raised up off of the ground to give you plenty of space to do whatever underneath your newly raised bed.

Loft beds also have kids themes; with desks built underneath the bed this gives your little one a place to study and sleep while occupying little floor space.

Kids Bunk Beds Are A Bonus

Have Fun With Your Kids While Also Keeping Them Safe

Of all the types of bunk beds that are now available, standard bunk beds, twin over full, bunk beds with a futon underneath, loft bunk beds, etc.....kid's bunk beds are by far the most popular. Why? Because of dual functionality, what? Let me explain, Serve two purposes to solve one problem. Need more floor space? That's the problem, and a bunk bed can solve this, but with the added benefit of entertainment for the kids. You get more floor space and the kids get a place to play.

As we all remember as kids (and sometimes now too) that fun usually came with a price, pain, as in getting hurt. Yes, too much fun always resulted in someone getting hurt. It's always a give and take. So keep the kids safe on their new found entertainment, make sure the railings are secured and make sure the ladder is properly bolted to the beds. But the most important, is safety, remember to teach you kids. They'll listen, if you know how to teach them! Remember they still look up to you at this age. You are the biggest and brightest person in the world to them. Have fun!

Transitioning From a Crib To a Bed

Know when it's time for you little one to climb into bunk beds

Until they are old enough to climb up on their own, babies need to sleep in cribs. The rails not only keep them from falling out, but allow them some practice pulling themselves up and standing. You will know when your child is ready to transition from the crib to a bed. Experts recommend keeping a baby in a crib until they are two or three years of age. Some children may be ready earlier. If they are frequently climbing out of the crib, this could be dangerous and hasten the necessity to move to a bed.

When you and your child are ready to make the transition, you can make it a positive experience. Telling your child that "big kids" sleep in "big beds" can often be motivating and rewarding for the child. Reassure your child that he or she will be safe and secure in their new bed, that they no longer need to sleep in the crib.

Remember the best person to determine whether your child is ready for a bed is you. Don't let anyone tell you when or that you are wrong.
