  • cashstudent101 Oct 10, 2011 @ 1:27 am | delete
We used to make paper mache masks when i was a kid using flour, newspapers cut into strips and flour mixed with water as glue. We used a balloon to keep the shape while it was drying. I taught my kids how to make a mask this way. They enjoyed it. good for a creative kid but some kids will get frustrated at how their masks turn out.

Thanks for the great ideas for the cardboard costume. I have been wanting some good ideas for the kids. They are always wanting the expense costumes at the stores and I keep telling them if they don't stop bugging me about it that I'm going to rap them in tin foil and they can go as a left over. I also found some cute ideas at costumeideasite.com
  • elizajane202 Sep 15, 2010 @ 4:12 pm | delete
I'll have to try your bloody mess face paint, my son (he's 13) told me he wants to go as something dead (zombie) so we'll be needing blood. For easter one year the kids and I did the face masks and bought some (fake) bunny fur and glued it over the top of the mask to make it look like a face.
