KidPrentice - Apprenticeship Opportunities
KidPrentice was established in 2006 by Christine Magtoto, mother of kids with HUGE dreams.
"One day, my daughters are watching Disney. The next, they're watching The Food Network! Micah could recite her FAVORITE characters and shows. 'I want to be the youngest chef on The Food Network!'. Oh boy, where do I start?"
Believing that Google would give her the answer in minutes, Christine was quickly disappointed. There were no culinary schools open to children. Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table offered short-lived courses and camps, and were booked as soon as they opened.
Christine, an Internet Marketer and multiple online business owner, was baffled. "I so want my kids to live their dreams. We mostly give up on these dreams as we get older, and I wasn't willing for my kids to miss out on living their dreams because the resources aren't available. That's when I decided that I'd faciliate the demand for resources with KidPrentice."
After 2 years, KidPrentice.com is finally live... and still in progress. Christine has HUGE dreams for KidPrentice - making dreams a reality for her kids and those around the world NOW is her ultimate dream.

About Kid Artists
Believe it or not, there are many kid artists all over the world. Just check online auction shops and you will realize that there are artworks being sold which are created by children. In fact, there is a couple in Asia that sells bags made from recycled paper and lets their daughter create the funky designs for their bags. With the help of the Internet, you can encourage your kids to be more proactive when it comes to promoting and harnessing their craft.Even at a young age, you will see if your son or daughter is showing interest in art. If you see signs of budding kid artists in your children, hone their skills and interests by providing materials such as coloring books, paints, clays and many other tools that would encourage them to make artworks. It is also a good idea to bring them to museums and exhibits so that they will be aware of the different media available to artists. They would also start to notice the different styles employed by famous painters, sculptors and other artists.

Another way to develop your kid artists is by letting them watch programs about crafts, take photos, make scrapbooks and use art techniques to help inspire their creative juices. There are also books that provide step-by-step instructions on how to draw, paint, mould, and sculpt certain objects, shapes, and many others. You can also enroll your kids to summer classes or camps that are specifically teach them art techniques and styles they can employ in their artworks. Although your kids can draw or paint naturally, they still need to learn techniques that can help improve the dimension, texture, and color combination of their work.Lastly, it would also be better if you open the minds of your children to potential careers as kid artists. It is not enough to let them hone their skills and talents; you also need to help them realize that they can make interesting careers out of their talents. Selling paintings, sculptures and photos in galleries or the Internet is not the only thing artists can do. They can also try being a commercial graphic artist who is responsible for creating pieces of art in magazines, books, newspapers, leaflets, posters and other promotional materials. Illustrators and cartoonists for big animation firms can also be interesting. Also, creating art or designer toys is another option for artists to display their work.
