Foam Chairs, Large Pillows and Bean Bags come in so many shapes and sizes, your head will spin...mine does daily. Soft Fabrics! Many Colors! How do I choose? Those Questions and many more...will be answered...here...tonight!

Fresh Fun Furniture...

For the Kids.

Well...now that we're here in the second module...Let's get down to business! First of all, what are your options? Well, for starters...let's talk about what we're looking for. I want furniture for the kids bedroom or playroom. Possibly something a little nicer that compliments the family room.

Let's talk about our options. Classic Vinyl Bean Bags are filled with Beans. Those little polystyrene balls that seem to get everywhere when the kids chair eventually bursts open. Are Kids Bean Bags good? Yes...they're decent...they're pretty inexpensive and most importantly, they're perfect for children.

But what else is there?

I'm glad you asked...

Foam Bean Bags are your new best friend. They're soft, resilient and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. For those of you who don't know what a Foam Bean Bag is, its basically the same as your classic bean bags, except inside is a shredded urethane foam filling. Now, what is that better? Well, for starters, its much softer than polystyrene beans. Also, beans will flatten over time. Shredded foam can be fluffed back up to its original form again and again. The Foam Bean Bags are a little bit more expensive, but the quality and the length of ownership are greatly increased.

What are the options available?

You know what? I'm gonna tell you. You will find many options in shapes, sizes and fabric choices. Quality will vary based on the manufacturer. Let's start with Size. You will find sizes from about 2 feet to 7 ft at many stores...sometimes you will see even larger. But since this is a Lens for Kids Furniture, we'll keep it to the smaller sizes. Basically, there are a lot of different sizes available.

Next, we'll talk shape: The most common shape you'll find is spherical, however you will also see round, flat pillow-like chairs. Elongated forms. Foam Chairs with arms (their cute, they look like little easy-chairs.) You'll see cube-shapes and pyramidal chairs. There's a lot of fun stuff out there, look around...click the links above to explorer the fun...only if you want to.

Lastly, we'll talk about Fabrics: You'll see different quality fabrics at different price points. For Bean Bags, you'll see anything from Vinyls, to cotton twills to microsuedes. For Foam Chairs, you'll see all the same, minus the vinyls. (Because the foam has a lot more give to it than Beans, the Vinyl will trap the air and pop when you sit on it. So its not used in foam bean bags.) Every once in awhile you'll see other types of fabrics, but the most common are Twills and Microsuedes.

Colors range from bright, kid-friendly colors to standard browns, tans and a variety of earth tones. It's all good.

So that's about it. There are many options...I encourage you to look around. See what's out there and pick something fun for your home.
