Kid's Cookbooks Help Kids Have Fun In The Kitchen

If your kids are like ours, they spend lots of time in the kitchen. Kids Cookbooks give them a bit guidance. They offer a starting point for experimentation and learning. From cookbooks, they can not only find delicious recipes, but kids can often learn about healthy eating, kitchen utensils, measuring, and tips for success.

These days there are so many kid's cookbooks available. Here you will find a collection of the best. I have included only those with 4 or 5 stars, the top rated kid's cookbooks And, for convenience, I have organized the selections by recommended age. If you can't wait to get your new cookbook, I have also included two of our favorite recipes for kids. The first is gem tarts, a favorite for kids as they get to use their hands while making them. In the "tween section" you will find our easy chocolate cake recipe, which we adapted from a recipe given to us from my friend Diane.

So what are you waiting for, have a look at my collection of kid's cookbooks and recipes.

Recipes and Cookbooks for Tweens

Easy Chocolate Cake

Here's another quick and easy favorite recipe of my kids

Tweens Can Cook!

Ages 9-12 are great in the kitchen

I don't know how it is for most families, but for us the tween years (ages 9-12) are filled with wonderful baking, cooking and kitchen experiments. The girls are old enough to make creations with limited supervision. In our house experimenting with food is part of the fun.

Here are some sample recipes that my kids make on their own:

See what some of the Amazon reviews have to say about this awesome kids cookbook:
Wow! I really don't know what I was expecting from a teen cookbook, but it sure wasn't this. The fresh ingredients and gorgeous photographs on each page make me want to try nearly every single dish.

I am so happy to have discovered this book. I have others written by Rozanne Gold and this is one of my favorites. My daughter loves to cook and so we poured over it to find what we want to make. There are many great recipes to choose from.

There needs to be a sequel to this book! I don't know how many times I pulled out this book, I should just leave it on the kitchen counter permanently.

I've enjoyed cooking with my kids fro a long time now. Each of my older four has taken turns with me in the kitchen. It's a great activity to do with your kids. I am definitely going to check a few of these out. I like that you have them for all ages. I have a toddler who can begin to help and a fourteen year old ready to move on to bigger things. Great lens.

Excellent lens! My sons absolutely love to cook and we're always busy in the kitchen. Thanks for the Book Directory link since we live in Guatemala!

I hated cooking as a child until I turned 16. Then I decided to make my mom a six course meal for her birthday, using recipes from Martha Stewart Living magazines and never looked back!

I don't honestly remember a time that I wasn't working in the kitchen. My mother always let me experiment and help. Cookbooks for kids is just a great idea!

Mom started me off helping in the kitchen when I was almost still a toddler - and by the time I was 12, I could shop, cook from scratch, and serve a meal to our family. Oh, how I adored my Easy-Bake Oven ... but once those packets were used up, I started using it for real food. It takes a long time time back an entire cake mix using those tiny little cake pans, but what fun it was. Thumbs up on this lens!

Lovely lens. I have lensrolled this to mine "How to make oatrolls". Almost every child in Sweden has tried these rolls. My own children too!
