Some recipes to try with your kids.
Best play dough recipe 2 Cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups water
10-15 drops Food coloring or powdered tempera paint(optional)
2 teaspoons vanilla or peppermint extract (optional)
Mix all ingredients in saucepan. Cook over low heat until it just begins to look dry (not completely). Take out of pan and place on bread board or counter top. When cool enough to touch, knead until smooth and pliable.
Tuna stuffed tomatoes
1 large tomato
1 can tuna, drained and flaked
4 teaspoon mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon chopped celery
Mix tuna, mayonnaise and celery in a bowl. Cut stem out of omato. Slice off top. Scoop out inside of tomato,leaving the shell intact. Fill each tomato shell with tuna mixture. Place on a baking sheet and broil 3-4 minutes.
Chocolate Waffles
2 cups flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 eggs beaten
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix ingredients together and pour 3/4 Cup or so onto hot waffle iron.
