Stop and say hi!

From the lens Kids Creative Writing.

I've been writing (on and off) since I was very young. I remember my first story having something to do with a tennis playing duck - I'm not sure why. My mother was always so proud of my work and to this day is still, by far, my biggest fan. It meant a lot to me as a child to have her react with such joy at anything I wrote.

To see some of my creative writing on-line, visit Extreme Writing - Stone's Throw, a writing blog belonging to one of the most exciting writers I know (yes, you, Drifter).

Hi! I began leading creative writing workshops for my only daughter and her friends when they were nine....More and more people wanted to join and now I teach six classes a week, for all ages. Over 300 of my offbeat exercises and insights into the writing process are in my ebook "Write Outside the Lines: a creativity catapult" ($2.99) It's getting wonderful reviews on amazon. Please check it out and spread the word. Thanks, Cathy

As a writer/teacher, I share this goal of creating writers. I remember as a kid wanting to see my stories in print and having such a hard time finding somewhere to send them. So when I finally took the plunge and created a website, I included a page where kids can publish their stories. Once a month, I post the best entry I receive. Visit http://michelleisenhoff.com/KidsWriteContest.aspx for details.

    Hi Sojourn, great article !
I don't have children myself, although my wife and I are planning to start the adoption process quite soon. In the meantime, I will try these games with my 9 nephews (yes, I have 9 nephews! The youngest is 6 months old, the oldest will graduate from high school this year). It will be a lot of fun !
I would like to start creating french learning resournces (books, software, etc.) for children and families in the near future. This kind of writing game is a great inspiration. WOuld you like to collaborate with me for the creation of these learning tools? Please feel free to send me a message if you are interested. Have a great day,
