Kids Sewing Projects

Learn to Sew

Whether you are an adult who wants to learn to sew or a kid just starting to sew, we've got some great simple projects and step by step lessons to get you on the right path.

When I was a teenager growing up my mom taught me to sew. She was patient but I wasn't the best student. Most of my learning came through trial and error. I learned to sew by making something with a pattern.

Patterns aren't always easy to sew when you don't have any prior experience. I wish there had been small projects to teach me step by step what I needed to learn to sew.

I think learning little by little is a great way to learn to sew. Hope these ideas help you too.

I think it is important for kids to learn to sew, even if they just learn how to hem and mend. I started when I was three on a Barbie sewing machine. I've been sewing ever since.
