Choosing a good water table for toddlers

A great summer toy for young children is a toddler water table. My 2 year old son will play outside for ages with his water table. He fills up the tubs, pours water into the funnels and the spinning wheels keeping him occupied for hours. This is really great for me as it means I can have time to read a magazine and generally relax in the sunshine. I think water tables are a good choice of toy from about 18 months upwards to about 5 years old. There are lots of water tables for kids on the market. Below are descriptions of what I believe is the best toddler water table and the best sand and water table on the market.

This is a best selling toy on Amazon and the reviews are excellent so it's a good choice. It has an elevated design to keep children out of the mud and dirt but still at toddler level. There's funnels, a waterwheel tower, a sailing boat and 2 cups to play with. There are easy to remove plugs in the basin to drain the water. I personally think this is the best choice of water play table.

This features two sides of play, one for water and one for sand.

It also comes with an accessory kit which includes 2 bridges, 2 boats, 2 pots and 1 shove. There is also an umbrella designed to shade children from the sun.

The legs are detachable for easy storage and there's a lid with elastic tie downs.

There are lots of other great water toys for toddlers which you can get instead of or in addition to a water table.

There are sprinklers suitable for very young children which they will love. They run in and around them. Sprinklers are great for really hot days.

Other ideas are small inflatable pools. My son loves his pool on a hot day. We put a slide going into thepool and he will just spend ages going down the slide into the pool.

Watering cans make great toys for little toddlers. They will enjoy pouring the water out and feeling it on their hands and feet. Its obviously good for showing them how to water plants in the garden. You can have a lot of fun.
