The naming convention for kids duvet covers sometimes varies but they normally always mean the same which is a 140cm x 200cm duvet cover with a matching pillow case. The matching pillow case with the duvet cover is why they are often called kids duvet sets. Couple this with the different names for duvets and you then have quite a few different names which include the above plus kids quilt covers, kids quilt sets, kids bed covers, kids bed sets and kids bed sheets.

If you then substituted the kids part of kids duvet covers you are then left with hundreds of combinations like childrens duvet covers, childs duvet covers, boys duvet covers, girls duvet covers and so on. They are all just different names for the same things though.

The main difficulty in purchasing Children's Curtains is knowing what the sizes are and also what the sizes relate to. The majority of kids curtains measure either 66" (168cm) across by 72" (183cm) in depth or 66" (168cm) across by 54" (137cm) in depth.

When you buy kids curtains you get two pieces of material which will give you a combined width of 132" (335cm). However for a comfortable fitting you should allow approximately half of the width of the curtains.

If you have an existing curtain pole or track above your window you should measure the pole and if it is anywhere between 60" - 100" across then the standard 66" width curtains will be fine.

For the length of curtains you need to decide if you want the curtains to finish above the window sill (measure 1/2 inch above sill), below the window sill (measure 6 inches below sill) or down to the floor (measure 1/2 inch above floor). You can obviously trim either the width or the length of the curtains to fit perfectly.
