Kid's Cove

Kid's Cove is a place where kids can come to have fun, be loved by others, and learn about God at the same time! Our mission is to show kids how to love God, love others and serve the world.

The rooms have been split up among 4 age groups, so we can provide the best age appropriate environment for each child. The Tide Pool is for ages birth through 36 months. The Reef is for ages 3 years through kindergarten. The Deep Sea is for kids 1st through 4th grade. For 5th and 6th graders there is Pier 56 .

Through engaging curriculum, trained ministry partners and age appropriate environments we teach kids how to love God, love others, and serve the world. (Which is the mission for Good News Community Church, to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ that love God, others and serve the world.)

The ministry partners are volunteers that give of their time on Sunday mornings. These ministry partners have been trained to work with children with age appropriate teaching and have several training sessions each year to keep up to date on the newest policies and curriculum that is being taught in the classrooms. They have all passed a background check to ensure the highest safety for all children while in our care.

Tide Pool

We strive to provide parents comfort in knowing that their most prized possession is being well taken care of while they are away. We want to provide a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment which builds a foundation for your child so that they can one day become disciples who love God, love others, and serve the world.

The Tide Pool is for children birth to 36 months. It is open every Sunday during both services and special church events. The Tide Pool is open 15 minutes before first service (first service begins at 9:00 a.m.) and remains open for the duration of the activity.

We'd love to have you and your child experience the Tide Pool; so come check it out!

The Reef

The Reef is a fun, interactive, and faith building place where children can learn about God using different learning styles. This is the place where ministry partners get on their hands and knees to teach, play, and love kids in a way that helps them see God on their level. During this time children will interact with the Lil K' character in a large group and then small group experience.
Much like Blue's Clues, this curriculum integrates faith, fun, and technology to get kids attention and engage them in God's Word. We'd love to help your child grab hold of their faith even at such a young age! Come join the Reef as we cultivate your child's love for God and faith!

Deep Sea

The Deep Sea is a place where kids interact with one another and ministry partners through innovative lessons and fun hands on stations. Beginning the class with a high energy large group, and then breaking into more personal small groups help children learn and develop through many different learning styles and encourage relationships among other children and ministry partners who love to work with kids.

During the hour your child will experience a multi-media based lesson from Johnny Rogers who engages children and challenges them to be world changers! We'd love to have the opportunity to challenge your child to be world changers! Stop by and check it out on Sunday mornings at either 9:00am or 10:45am.

Crafts and Small Groups in Deep Sea

Pier 56

Pier 56 is a place where your tween can come as they are and learn about God! This age group is in between childhood and adolescence therefore they need a place of their own where they can begin to mold their faith into their own ever changing life. Tweens in this class interact throughout the week through a safe and secure on-line community. They get to answer questions for upcoming lessons, pick games that will be played, ask for prayer, and chat with new friends made in class.
Every Sunday, your kids will Grapple with faith and the hard questions that come along with life while interacting with ministry partners and other students. We'd enjoy the opportunity to help your tween grapple with faith and life! Come check it out, every Sunday morning at 9:00am and 10:45am.
