I have a kiln too, although mine is a copper enameling kiln I inherited from my mother. I once started a fire in my kitchen when I used the wrong kind of enamel adhesive. My mother would be so upset with me. I did some pottery when I was a child but didn't keep that up. Really good information here. And I really like your name!

Vulcan kilns are out of Ohio, here is the web site http://www.vulcankilns.com/ It looks like that kiln has a max temp of 2300F. I actually have a old Vulcan kiln in the workshop, I can't really compare it as it look totally different than the kilns current being made.

I've been visiting your wonderful lenses. I'm a potter wannabe. I have just enough experience to want more. Thanks for all the great information.

I just wanted to thank you for the information - pottery was my lifefor years and I own an electric kiln. It has taken a back seat due to work, life, etc. I came upon your site because I need the creativity back and I don't remember how to use my kiln. Thank you-I will be back for more!
