The Art of Recruiting
Tell-All Marketing
Especially in Network Marketing we all tend to say too much when speaking with a prospect. We are anxious to show our prospect what a great product and company we have. We want to be persuasive, after all a person would have to be an idiot not to join us!
Kim quotes from an email she received from one of her readers: "The Company I am with is traded on the NYSE which means everything is available about what we do. We also have a 5A1 rating on Dunn and Bradstreet. We have been on the Today Show, NBC, CBS, and Fox News. Want to check the News Clips out? Go to www. Xxxxxx. Com and see for yourself. It is totally amazing what our 10 PhD scientist have found."
Have you heard that before?
Have you said something like that to a prospect about your Network Marketing Company?
Show-All or Cleavage
Kim compares the tell-all approach to Madonna's marketing method. For over 25 years Madonna has made a hundred times more money every year than what the most famous stripper will ever make. It's not her singing - Madonna never takes it all off!
Madonna generates mystique. She keeps her millions of fans coming back for more by never showing it all. She knows the power of cleavage marketing works much better than tell-all marketing.
Some prospects may be impressed with tell-all marketing, but most people are turned off by it. They have heard it before.
Cleavage marketing is a better way: show a little, and then walk away. Titillate them so they come back for more.
What's a little cleavage talk for your business?
How do you keep them coming back for more?
How do you show a little so that they want more?
Unknowingly I have been using "cleavage marketing" with a series of short videos on YouTube.
Animoto offers a free service where you can make a 30 second video from still photos, which includes a music soundtrack, and can be uploaded to YouTube, Facebook and other social websites. 30 seconds is just enough time to get your prospects interest so that they want to see more.
Next time you present your Network Marketing opportunity - try cleavage marketing.

- Well David your title got me to click so it works on women too! lol
Very good analogy; so true we tend to say way too much to our prospect before ever finding out anything about them and if they are even looking to change what they are doing.
Great lens, thanks

- Well, you got me to look. I'd love some more helpful ideas for applying the principle in business beyond, er, buying books with pictures of cleavage... LOL But it is a good point and you generously gave the credit to well known marketer.
