When you purchase a Kindle 2 you get with it a limited 1 year warranty. This warranty will protect your device from defects that possibly could occur during the manufacturing of the Kindle device. So if there are some defects or the device stops working during the year that you have it, the company will replace it for you or repair it. When replacing the Kindle 2, you may receive a new or refurbished device, then same goes for repairing it. Repairs may include the use of new or refurbished parts. Once the device has been sent in for repair, then it will be under the remaining time as well or extended for ninety days, whichever one is longer.
