The Mitford Series by Jan Karon for Kindle

I am a reader! I have loved to read since I was a little girl living in rural Iowa and waiting for the bookmobile to come around in the summer time. I love to read a good book series that is finished and has all the books published. That way I don't have to wait months or years for the next book to come out. Lately I've been doing most of my reading on Squidoo. There is lots of good stuff here for sure, but I still love my books! I want to share some of my favorites with you. Most of them are available in a Kindle edition but a few aren't, so if you are ordering be sure to take note of that. I would like to introduce you to Jan Karon's Mitford series. It is all published so you can breeze through the whole series if you like. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Do you have a Kindle yet?

"We designed Kindle to provide an exceptional reading experience. Thanks to electronic paper, a revolutionary new display technology, reading Kindle's screen is as sharp and natural as reading ink on paper-and nothing like the strain and glare of a computer screen. Kindle is also easy on the fingertips. It never becomes hot and is designed for ambidextrous use so both "lefties" and "righties" can read comfortably at any angle for long periods of time.

We wanted Kindle to be completely mobile and simple to use for everyone, so we made it wireless. No PC and no syncing needed. Using the same 3G network as advanced cell phones, we deliver your content using our own wireless delivery system, Amazon Whispernet. Unlike WiFi, you'll never need to locate a hotspot. There are no confusing service plans, yearly contracts, or monthly wireless bills-we take care of the hassles so you can just read."

The Mitford Series

by Jan Karon

I love this series by Jan Karon about a little North Carolina town called Mitford and it's endlessly interesting inhabitants. Father Tim is the local rector and this story is of him and his eccentric congregation. When you get immersed in this heart warming and uplifting series you will wish you could live in Mitford and be a part of it. If you haven't read the Mitford series yet you are in for a treat!

Not all of this series is available for Kindle so be sure to check that when you are ordering. These are listed in the correct order.

I have never heard of a Kindle! I love to read as well. The mitford series was well written, but for some reason it depressed me. Not sure if I could put my finger on why....

Wonderful lens - I have so often heard great things about the Mitford books but have never got around to reading them yet. Great lens and that Literature Map thing is cool, too! 5***** and lensrolled to Eloise Jarvis McGraw.
