I don't own one, and have seen a few. The ones that were default were okay and cool.

But once you root it, and can get some 'unconventional' apps it becomes a REALLY, REALLY solid, functional device. I was quite jealous of the rooted one I used...

Disappointed that I can't use the same Android apps I have on my phone. Kindle apps are very limited in the amazon market.

it had a slider switch to read in Kindle's e-ink mode, which is why I took it off my Christmas wish list temporarily. I don't want to have to carry both my Kindle and a Kindle Fire, so when I order it, I want it to do both things, but I don't want to have to read with eye straining backlight like I do on the computer.
